Description

A traditional prairie-parkland nine on the south edge of town, David City's municipal course dates back to the early 1920s. The holes are straightforward with tree-lined corridors and subtle doglegs that ask for controlled tee shots. Gentle elevation changes and small targets put a premium on wedge play. It's a friendly community venue where leagues and casual rounds share the tee. Conditions are typically firm and fast in the summer, amplifying the strategy off the tee.

The course is well maintained and fun to play. Greens were in great shape. This was our first visit and we enjoyed it. Great club house and friendly staff. Now the cons. The island was closed, we had been excited to try it out, hopefully next time. Also, we experienced a lot of players hitting into our fairways and then taking their shots before we were able took ours. Several times the balls came fairly close to us but few players yelled fore. All in all, it was worth the drive from Lincoln to play it, we will be back. The cost is reasonable, the scenery was nice and the challenge was decent. Put David City on your list.

Friends Of David city sponsored music in the park. There were prepared hamburgers with chips, chips and cookies and drinks and popcorn. It was a wonderful time and we are very fortunate to have these events!

I really enjoyed playing here. It's a really good course. Lots of trees will make this a challenging course for anyone. Keep those drives straight. Great clubhouse and very nice staff. I'll definitely be going back.

Sandwich buns were dried out, french fries were cold. One waitress for entire place. Au jus had no flavor and lots of grease floating on top. Won't be back.
