Description

The Ridge leans into elevation and lake-country views to create a round with rhythm and drama. You'll alternate between exhilarating downhill tee shots and demanding uphill approaches that test club choice. Greens are smooth and shaped with a light hand, rewarding a confident roll. A few holes bring water and rock outcroppings into play in ways that are more beautiful than punitive. Conditioning is a point of pride, and it shows in the fairways and surrounds. It's a scenic challenge that never loses its sense of fun.

Beautiful course. Lots of wildlife watching you as you play the perfectly landscaped holes. We had to stay on the cart path the whole way which made for a longer than average round due to all the rain they received the week before but it was still a great day of golfing with my buddies. The staff was friendly and helpful. I highly recommend this course if you are looking for a fun filled day.

We got to play the remnants of what appeared to be a great golf course. It just seemed so abandoned. Most of the course not watered, so lots of long rolls on the fairways (a plus). But the greens looked like our jv soccer team’s practice field, so really slow and jagged and some 2-inch divots on the greens snagged our balls too. And so many sand traps just full of weeds. We asked just about everyone that worked there what was going on and for whatever reason they were really vague and just said they didn’t know anything. We got stuck behind a foursome that must have had some serious money on their game because they took forever! A huge backup formed and people jumped us, only to still get caught behind the foursome. So took 5.5 hours for 18 holes (we did snag sandwiches at the turn that hit the spot) Our first thought was that maybe the new ownership wants to sell the golf courses? But they’ve put new asphalt on parts of the paths. And the blue tees have some amazing views. Just a really unique day. (We bought 4 passes at a charity event.)

The only positive experience was the nice women that made us brats and hotdogs, that’s the only reason I’m giving this course a 2 star. The individual working in the morning of Saturday September 23 in the pro shop was extremely rude and unprofessional. If you’re going to be that rude towards everyone your course better be amazing, unfortunately this is the worst course I’ve ever played on in my life (see photos) you can do better than this god awful place at the lake. Worst greens I’ve ever seen for a $78 course for 18 holes

This is my group's second time playing the Ridge and they've raised prices yet again. Here's why we won't be back: 1) many greens are in below average condition and bumpy as hell. Don't even bother with the practice green. 2) cart path often in disrepair 3) poor signage for several holes leaving you guessing where to go 4) playground-sand bunkers 5) most holes have a steep tee box or green that you feel like you are climbing a mountain. Put in some stairs at least, or level the cart path to the level it needs to be. The one set of stairs we saw were in such bad shape that none of us used them. If you have mobility issues at all, you will have a difficult day. 6) There just isn't a flat lie anywhere. You can hit the fairway and still roll off into the woods on most holes. 7) you cannot take your cart to your car to unload. They've got it blocked off. I believe this is to force you to tip the attendants even if you don't want them touching your clubs. At $100+ per round, we expect a lot better than this course provides.

The course looks very nice. However, management has done a terrible job maintaining the course. Tee boxes are terrible. Greens are unpleasant. 4 of the 18 holes had swarms of hornets on them with nests on the green! Staff was also very rude except for one girl staff member who helped with the carts. Definitely will not come back.
