Formerly Big Oaks, Tupelo National winds among lakes and mature trees just north of town. It's a classic parkland test: generous fairways narrow at scoring distance, and water is in play on many holes. The finishing stretch rewards length but punishes misses with penal angles around the greens. Amenities include a full practice range and event friendly clubhouse. Back tee specs are 6,784 yards with a 73.1/124 rating/slope.

Mike Mayhew (sp) was absolutely amazing. We drove 2+ hours in a rain storm to get here. When the rain subsided he let us play even though the course was closed. Also, the course is absolutely amazing.

Nice course. Lots of water hazards! Carts were clean and had GPS, with Bluetooth capability so you can stream music. But the rain came 2 days ago and there were several spots that were flooded, including most of the sand traps. Cart path only. Clubhouse didn’t have any food, except hotdogs. Ball washers and drinking water containers were dry. Restrooms on the course were pretty rough too. And the range was closed. I expected better maintenance from a National course.

The greens were punched about a month ago; otherwise the course was in great shape. The course is a bit short, but has beautiful views and plays very open. Carts have GPS for yardage, USB, and comfy seats.

Visited while traveling for work and I loved it so much I came two days in a row. The course was absolutely beautiful and kept in perfect condition. The general manager, Mike, and his staff were all very nice, helpful, and kept everything running smoothly. Overall amazing experience and I will definitely be coming back next time I travel to Tupelo for work.
