Description

Part of a residential community, The Links at Oxford is a compact nine hole loop ideal for quick rounds. The par 35 layout mixes a couple of stout par 4s with scorable holes that reward smart placement. Its small scale and forgiving corridors make it friendly to beginners and families. Because there's no range, most players treat the first tee as the warm up. It's golf at an easy pace within minutes of Ole Miss.

They truly are awful! The staff will tell you what you want to hear just to get you off the phone. The maintenance is even worse. You can place a work order on the app (like they tell you to) but never show up to fix a problem. They don’t even deserve one star. You're better off living in your car.

Manager, although presenting a professional demeanor, does not care about the existing state of the apartments, simply stating they are "old". Before addressing any of the claims I had with the apartment, she asked if I'd like to break my lease. When I stated I can't afford to live anywhere else in Oxford, she effectively told me to suck it up. Despite the Links having extremely affordable prices, the apartments show their age and management will tell you to deal with it or kick rocks even if the apartments are objectively unsanitary due to black mold in the HVAC line. Roughly half of the office staff will not look up from their computers to interact with you and come across as not having any concern for what you have to say. The City of Oxford nor the Mississippi State Department of Health will be of any assistance. Look elsewhere if you can afford it.

This complex is absolute trash. The management will tell you whatever you need to hear to get you to sign a lease then go against their promises after you sign. Never before have I ever dealt with such rude and offensive people in my life. Please if you value your sanity do not ever rent from this place. I have had issue over issue with this company. Their maintenance people help themselves to your belongings then the office tell you that they entered under emergency reasons where they can't prove the emergency. I put cameras up in my apartment and caught them and the office defends their workers with countless baseless excuses for why they entered with no notice or factual reason. They claim that golfers on the course they advertise are responsible for the balls they hit through widows but when your car windrow gets smashed then threatens to tow your vehicle because it had received damage from someone else. There's countless shootings you can practically set your watch by so it is not a safe place to have children let alone anyone with stray bullets getting sent around. My first run in with management was over swimming in the pool with my two nieces when I first moved in because I apparently had too many people in my party and the children weren't tenants on my lease. The second was the appliances in my apartment stopped working but when maintenance came to fix the problems nothing was fixed so I've had broken appliances in my apartment for the last couple years. Rent keeps going up a couple hundred bucks every time you sign a new lease but they do nothing to update their over 20 year old counters, cabinets, sinks etc. Like they renovated after every tenant you'll be lucky to see new carpet. Let's not mention the theft that occurs here with your personal belongings in your car. People just break into your cars and steal whenever they feel like it. Now management is making me relocate my work vehicle because I use it to work out of and they consider it a work vehicle which they do not want people that have jobs that live their complex apparently. Please if you've gotten this far read other reviews because if I read the other tenants reviews before i moved in here I would never have played into the bullshit these people tell you when you sign your lease. Management here is the absolute worst. The apartments aren't worth the price gouging they keep making you pay. I can't wait for my lease to be up so I can move on from this tragedy they call an apartment complex.

Please consider carefully before deciding to live here for the following reasons: 1. Unbearable Nighttime Noise: During our lease, we were subjected to unbearable nighttime noise, which should have been addressed by the landlord as a breach of the rental agreement. Despite numerous complaints to the office, they remained indifferent, leading to severe stress on our part. 2. Expensive and Noisy Golf Side Units: Units facing the golf side come with a higher rent, but you’ll have to endure the constant noise of people playing golf during the day. 3. Mold and Humidity Issues: The windows had mold, and the house was extremely damp. 4. Neglected Repairs and Unjust Charges: We reported issues like the bathroom floor needing repair multiple times during our lease, but all requests were ignored after a single attempt. The bathroom floor was covered with a thin layer of material glued over the original tiles, which easily peeled away with exposure to water (an inevitable occurrence in a bathroom). This created a tripping hazard. They even charged us for repairing the carpet, which was old and worn when we moved in. After the lease ended, they sent us a hefty bill instead of addressing these issues. 5. Roach Infestation: The place is infested with roaches, regardless of how clean you keep it. 6. Extremely Poor Soundproofing: The soundproofing is virtually nonexistent. 7. Unjustified Charges and Withholding of Deposit: Despite thoroughly cleaning the apartment before moving out, the landlord still found various reasons to charge us, clearly to avoid returning our full deposit. Even after deducting the so-called cleaning fees, they still owe us a portion of our deposit that they have yet to return.

Avoid this place, I'd be willing to bet I could get a class action lawsuit based upon what I've seen here. They do ad little as possible, I'm the only reason people live here is because there is a housing shortage in Oxford and people are desperate. When I moved into my apartment, it had a strong musty smell. On top of that, I quickly realized my HVAC system mixed air with one of my neighbors because whenever they would smoke weed, my apartment reeked of it, as well as cigarette smoke. I'm pretty sure this violates some kind of health code. But the musty smell was always there, and all they would do was deodorizer bombs. They did bring an ozone machine, and it helped for about a day and a half, but the smell came back. I did my own investigating and found that there was tons of black mold growing inside my HVAC system, and the insulation inside was soaking wet. I sent them pictures. They said the drain for the air conditioner was clogged, and they fixed that but didn't do anything about the wet moldy insulation. I spent several hundred dollars of my own money trying to get rid of it, but the smell keeps coming back because the mold keeps growing after I disinfect. If you don't pay your rent in 7 days, they will disable your ability to pay online and force you to pay with a money order. If you don't pay within nine days, they add court costs and attorney fees for an eviction. I was moving out because of the mold, but I ended up having to stay one extra month beyond my lease, which costs an extra $150. I had automatic payments set up and forgot to pay my last month, so I had to go get a money order. They wouldn't give me a receipt for it.... she said they don't do receipts. There are a lot of drugs and crime at this apartment complex. There's been at least one shooting that I know of this year, and I know three people who have had their catalytic converter stolen in the parking lot. I also heard some students on campus talking about coming out here to buy weed. I would give it zero stars if that was an option. The photos are of the black mold that Is inside my HVAC system and growing ANYWHERE it is even slightly dark or wet. It's still in the HVAC system, but I do a weekly treatment of chlorine dioxide gas to keep it at bay, and this helps with the smell, but it always comes back. The reason I'm moving out is they won't remove the moldy insulation inside the HVAC, which is still growing mold and still smells up the apartment. I have even blasted hot air into the HVAC system for three full days with a hair dryer, and I stuck a UV lamp that produces ozone inside the HVAC, but the mold always, always comes back. After I killed my third brown recluse spider I called them for an insect treatment, but to be honest I would take them over the black mold.
