We had our daughter’s wedding at The Refuge on June 7, 2025, and we cannot say enough good things about this venue! Lisa, the wedding coordinator, was amazing from day one. She was extremely easy to work with, organized, and super friendly. Josh assisted us during the rehearsal and he knew exactly where everyone and everything needed to be. The day of the wedding couldn’t have been more perfect! Lisa was there all day and handled any and all questions we had to ensure the day went smoothly. We had brunch and lunch while in the bridal suite and the food was fantastic! The wedding was held outside in their beautiful gazebo and Lisa guided us down the aisle and the ceremony was beautiful. Afterwards, the night couldn’t have gone any better. Our guests were served plated meals of either roasted chicken or salmon with glazed carrots and roasted potatoes. Both were delicious and everyone raved about the food the next week. We danced the night away on the large dance floor and our guests could either be on the covered patio outside or party with us inside. Every single staff member was wonderful and The Refuge is an A++ venue in my book!

A wonderful establishment, with great staff. We had a January wedding here and it couldn't have worked out any better. Lisa and all of the staff were great from start to finish. The food was great, especially the appetizers. After looking into dozens of venues, this one stood out for the quality and value. It also stood out because of Lisa, the coordinator. She obviously cares a great deal about her clients. It was a great experience and I would recommend to anyone considering a wedding reception here.

My husband and I just got married at The Refuge a few weeks ago, and we could not have asked for a more perfect wedding venue! Our entire weekend from the rehearsal dinner, getting ready in the bridal suite, the ceremony, dinner, and the reception was absolutely amazing. The venue, wedding ceremony location, bridal suite, and banquet area are all incredibly beautiful. The breakfast and lunch we had in the bridal suite getting ready, and the dinner during our reception was phenomenal. We served oven roasted chicken and fresh salmon, our guests are still talking about how great the food was! Our wedding was everything we could have dreamed of and more, and we cannot thank our wedding coordinator, Lisa, and the rest of the Refuge staff for making our wedding the best weekend of our entire lives! If we could do it all over again, we would absolutely choose The Refuge!!! 10/10 ❤️❤️❤️

Well, it's been 13yrs since I've played this course. Wow! 13yrs later it's still the same Golf Digest 4.5 rating!! Unbelievable course conditions. Great pace of play(I was a single). Greens were fast and true. Fairways were mint shape for late July. Great price from Golf Now. Staff was nice but just fair like he didn't like his job and just went through the motions but still "nice". I know the owner Rick is VERY hard to work for so maybe that's why? Anyways I will definitely be back!! This IS the best course around here...only other track that can compare is TPC Blaine!! This is a gem hidden North of the city and I hope it stays hidden!! It's really that good!! Go try it if you're ever up this way you WILL not be disappointed!!

The Refuge was the perfect midsummer wedding venue! With its seamless blend of indoor and outdoor spaces, our guests were able to enjoy the beauty of a Minnesota summer while also having a stunning dining room for dinner and dancing. The staff at The Refuge were absolutely exceptional—professional, attentive, and kind throughout the entire planning process and on our wedding day. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience and truly cannot recommend The Refuge enough!
