Nice course, not terribly expensive. Scenic views right on the river.

I recently played a round of golf with my brothers and was extremely disappointed with the experience due to the behavior of one of the course rangers. After properly waiting for the group ahead at the first hole, we began our round. When a faster group of women approached, we allowed them to play through to keep the pace moving on the second hole. Despite this, a course ranger parked directly behind us, initially staying in silence before attempting small talk and then asking if we had let the women play ahead. Even after confirming that we had, he remained parked behind us, observing them tee off. As we moved on from the second hole, the ranger drove by and told us to “pick up the pace and play best ball,” (which we were already doing) even though we were already playing as efficiently as possible. Shortly after, he parked in the bushes between holes 2 and 3 and as we arrived at the third tee he pulled out from the bushes and next to my brother, then proceeded to tell him he really need to pick up the pace. My brother had to firmly address him, pointing out that being stopped repeatedly between holes made it impossible to maintain any pace, and asked him if we could enjoy our day off? Then man quickly backed down, but never apologized for the harassment. This was not an isolated incident; my brothers have experienced similar treatment in the past with the same course ranger. While I hesitate to raise the issue of race, it is worth noting that we were the only group being followed and approached in this manner. Overall, this behavior significantly impacted our enjoyment of the round. If you have a scheduled tee time, it should be respected without interference from staff. The focus should be on providing a pleasant experience for all players, rather than policing groups unnecessarily. How am I being blamed because your buisness books tee times 10 minutes apart? Thats not my problem. I am very disappointed and hope the course addresses this issue so future players can enjoy their rounds without similar disruptions.

Nice little 9 hole course right off the river. Only problem is the problem with every course these days.. they pack in the tee times 5-8 minutes apart and it becomes bumper to bumper out on the course. If courses stopped choosing quantity over quality it’d be a lot nicer experience. I don’t lay up my shots to speed up the pace of play. If the course is backed up you’re still going to wait for me to hit the shot I want to hit. Not my fault my tee time was 9:32 and yours was 9:37.

Course is great love the scenery. Had a great time except, for when the ranger is following you for 3 holes straight without leaving you alone is very annoying.

This golf course has a great location alongside the Detroit River. Fairways are in excellent condition. The greens, If ĵwas not used to that type of grass? I'm not quite sure what it was? Over all the course was in decent shape. It was a good price, with nice electric carts, and a friendly staff. I enjoy playing at Wyandotte Shores.
