My round at Stony Creek Metropark Golf Course was a frustrating experience due to a significant lack of proper pace of play management. While the course itself was in very good condition—with well-maintained fairways and fast, true greens—the stacked tee sheet and a starter who seemed unprepared to handle the diverse groups of golfers created a brutal bottleneck. The course's true difficulty, especially from the tips where it demands precise target golf, was overshadowed by the constant waiting. It's a fundamental failure of course management when an operation prioritizes squeezing in extra tee times over providing a quality experience, a decision that is unfair to both the golfers and the grounds crew who work hard to maintain the course. My recommendation for Stony Creek is to increase the spacing between tee times to 15 minutes. The modest revenue gained from those extra tee times is far outweighed by the negative impact on the golfer's experience and the resulting hard-hitting reviews from players who understand how a tee box should be managed. This course has the potential to be a true gem, but until the pace of play issues are addressed, it remains a nightmare for any decent golfer.

A decent metro park course but some of the holes felt quite repetitive. You will need a pass to get into the park. Cant be too picky with a metro course but keep it in mind. Decently taken care of and the check in was very quick and painless. About 22-26 for our 9 that we played.

Nice course, kept up pretty well. We had a tee time of 3:45 , we didn’t get to tee off until about 4:30. It was cart path only. Other then that it’s a great course and would play again.

Staff was quite nice, course was in very rough shape. Driving range was also closed. Pictured was the 17th tee box. Greens rolled well but were in rough shape overall

Disc golf courses are great but why the pay to play? I mean you’re already paying to enter the park and no other activity within the metro park is charged a fee. Also, why is there no military discount on annual passes? I used to come here all the time but now I tend to avoid it.
