Challenging, hilly course set in a beautiful wooded surrounding. Lots of hills, narrow fairways, and a flowing river that runs through several holes make for deceptive views and difficult shots. It was a fun, frustrating, and absolutely gorgeous course to play!

First time here (Aug 2021) and am very impressed! Cut out of the UP woods and criss-crosses the Days river. Interesting holes that use the chance in elevation on site, very well. There are quite a few doglegs and blind shots, so playing the course often will help...and after playing it once, we can't wait to go back.

Called for a tee time for 18 holes for the next day. No problem getting a time. What they didn't tell me is that they were going to be aerating the back 9. Why this is a big deal is because it caused major slow down on every hole because of people playing 18. We were waiting for the foursome in front of us to tee off and they were waiting for a group in front of them who I can only assume were also waiting because of the back up I could see. If my husband and I know it is only a 9 hole course, we only play the 9. If we had been told about the back 9 being closed, we would have played a different course. At the very least, should have spread out the tee times between groups due to the extra influx on the front 9. That all being said, it is a beautiful course, very hilly and challenging. It was in very good condition. Be aware of the Michigan gnats this time of year, they are so ibnoxious

My husband called as soon as the group golfer came out to ask the lady if we could use it right away and was told no problem, so he booked a 7 AM tee time and explained we have another tee time in the afternoon. We arrive at 6:40 before anyone was there, 5 minutes later a employee shows up comes to our car and says you can't tee off until 8:20 because maintenance will be out there working... We explained we were told we could tee off at 7 and we have another tee time later, the employee said "yea, I saw your tee time and moved it and told the manager" there was no apologies, nothing. Ummm okay but that does us no good and we just drove an hour to get here. So we went to get gas and decided to go back and sit in the parking lot as we really had no other choice. We pull up and now there is another car and the guy was putting his clubs in a cart, the employee pulls up to our car with a cart and says you can go off the back nine behind this guy. My husband goes in to give the group golfer numbers and the employee says I need those printed... Needless to say my husband didn't have a printer in his pocket, and we have NEVER had to print them for any other golf course, my husband said he was never told that, the employee responds saying when my husband called a waitress answered and she isn't trained on the golf part, well, then how is my husband supposed to know. The customer service was absolutely horrible. Only positive thing I can say is the course was really nice, I swear there were little to no ball marks on the greens.

Wow…. What an amazing golf course this is. Pictures don’t do this course any justice. The views on the course are breathtaking and calming. The tall pines mixed with strategic elevation changes make this course a lot of fun to play. The staff there is also extremely welcoming. We came up from Wisconsin with a group of 8 guys. The weather wasn’t looking too hot but we managed to play through some occasional light rain. I am going to recommend this course to a lot of my golf friends.
