My wedding was held at Fern Hill recently. A beautiful day filled with all the important people. For the most part things went fairly smooth. The Cons: The young lady who did our rehearsal dinner was very sweet and organized. She was there on our day of however, there was another day of coordinator who was very pushy. She ushered everyone into cocktail house resulting in missed pictures with many family members. (I can understand wanting people to go to happy hour etc. however, it is the brides day and if I want to pay for happy hour for it not to get used, then oh well that's on me. Getting pictures was more important than cock tail hour to me.) The same coordinator was "pushy" with my now husband. He had ample amount of time to sit and drink a beer at the bar to calm his nerves... Pushy enough to where we started the ceremony early. Our reception felt delayed. We had a long break in between our entrance and getting our dinner started. We couldn't just fill the time with dances like some suggested because, the buffet stations were already set up on the dance floor. We had 2 wedding crashers towards the end of the night. At first I brushed it off until I found out from staff that these crashers were "Regulars" at Floodz bar. When asked to leave the crashers threw a fit and were cursing at myself (the bride) and various family members. Some way to prevent this would be nice, getting cursed at on my wedding day was not ideal. The Pros: The venue itself is beautiful. Its very versatile and allows for many color schemes and layouts. The food was absolutely amazing. It was hot and they allowed for many dietary restrictions. With separate menus for them. They cut our cake and displayed it as noted in contract. All of the servers and one bartender were kind. I did not see the happy hour display but, I was told the hors d'oeuvre were lovely! It really was best bang for your buck. I looked into a wedding that would be more DIY (hiring vendors, buying table cloths, buying silverware etc) and it cost so much more. They were not to picky about decorations or vendors. All requirements were valid. The "getting ready" room for the bridal party was nice to have and you do get access to this throughout the night.

I recently attended a class reunion here. The food and venue were nothing short of phenomenal. Our service, was even better. The bartender (Alex) was super respectful and quick. Our 2 servers (forgot the names- a young man and a young women), were very professional, and got us everything we needed, in a super timely manor!

Attended the recent Capranese Club Wild Game DInner recently held at Fern Hill. The food was prepared expertly. Bartenders friendly and efficient. Bus staff was phenomenally efficient. A great time was had by all!

It is a beautiful golf course and venue for many events. Such as Justin and Emily’s extravagant wedding held outside. The reception was beautiful and spacious. They multiple sitting rooms. They have additional reception rooms for events. They have a bar and seating inside. Gorgeous view in general. I am very happy for the newly weds and want to congratulate them once more!! Hands down - absolutely gorgeous wedding!!!

Very nice golf course. It has its rough spots if dirt and patchy grass near OB areas, but the fairways, greens and roughs are overall nicely kept up. I did lose a lot of balls with narrow fairways and a lot of water...water on nearly every hole, but I enjoyed shooting the course. The price is reasonable and I actually shot 18 with a cart for under $30...booking a "hot deal" Can't wait to go back!
