Description
Woodland Hills is a picturesque 18-hole municipal championship course characterized by its rolling parkland style and stunning Bourbon County vistas. Originally opening as Fort Scott Country Club in 1919, the course was later transformed into a public facility around 1940, with nine additional holes added in 1997 to complete its layout. Golfers enjoy Bermuda and zoysia fairways, paired with undulating bent-grass greens that demand precision on both approach and putting. Multiple tee boxes—from nearly 6,200 yards deepest blue tees to more accessible red tees—ensure a pleasurable experience for golfers of varying abilities. It also offers full practice amenities, including a driving range and putting greens, and consistently earns recognition as one of the top municipal courses in Kansas.
