This is an outstanding public course with reasonable rates. Very well maintained. No sand traps. Recent rains have filled the ponds, really adding to the beauty of the course. The greens are large, fast, and challenging. Recently a rule was made that bans any groups larger than 4, which has improved pace of play. All new carts this year, very comfy and nice! Lots of people make the drive to Cheney so it can be very busy at times. Make sure to get a tee time!

I called the clubhouse to see if they would let a sixsome go out on a Thursday morning because it would not be that busy, the clubhouse proceeded to give me the greenlight on my plans to tee off with 6 people under the guidelines of having 2 tee times booked. We are playing and around hole 5 someone (who we believe is the head pro) comes out and chews us out for playing as a sixsome even though one of his employees allowed us. He treated us like we were children and was absolutely nothing but rude and filled with hate. We were forced to split into 2 groups of three which was very disappointing because we wanted to play together because we were all moving back to college and would not see each other for a while. Not to also mention the groundskeeper yelled at one of our friends (who is new to golf) to stop reaching into the hole with his glove on because he was "grubbing up the holes". was overall a very rude experience and would not recommend.

Terrible management at this golf course. We had a tournament booked for months in advance, and just days before they told us they had double booked that day and asked us to reschedule our tournament. We lost out on a ton of money for a fundraiser and did not get any type of refund or discount for their mess up. On top of that, the guy who is in charge, conveniently was not at the course the day played to help with the problem. If you ever want to do a fundraiser golf tournament, do not do it at Cherry Oaks.

Nice small town 18 hole course, the front 9 are more tree-lined, while the back 9 are more open and a little more forgiving.

What a fun golf course. The pin positions seemed like maybe the person setting them is mad at the world, other than that its nice, clean, and the proshop manager even gave some free balls to the kids.
