Course updates are nice. Challenging as it always has been. Staff friendly. Pace of play was just awful as expected and the reason won’t be back.. if you’re a beginner and don’t understand golf courtesy yet please pick an easier track to learn on. This isn’t the place to do it. Marshal was courteous. No way I could do his job with the pace and players they deal with…

The golf course was nice and well kept. However, I played with a group of three and we had a very negative experience with a staff member. We started right at our given T-time and the group behind us was a solid hole and a half behind us the entire time until hole 7 where they were still just starting hole 6. This employee roles up behind us and very rudely tells us other groups are waiting on us and we either need to hurry or let them play through. Mind you no one was near us and had they been we would have gladly let them play through. A group of two had passed the group that originally was behind us. By the time we hit the 9th hole the group of two had just caught up to us and we were over half done with the hole anyway. For the last three holes this employee watched us play as if trying to herd us along faster. We finished well under the “time limit” given by the club house. Not once other than maybe the last hole were we ever holding anyone up. Even that wasn’t for long.on our final shots the employee again approached us to “ give us a tip on how to play faster.” This was my first time playing this course and our group was relatively new overall. We paid like everyone else and never once caused an issue. For the last 3 holes having someone follow you around when your new is very nerve racking especially when they are rushing you. All our game experience tanked from then on. It was very rude and unprofessional.

A fun course that has some great challenges but not so hard that it's frustrating. Staff is awesome, grounds crew does an amazing job and they have some really good practice facilities. All with reasonable prices.

If you like stuck up silver spoon golfing this is the place to go. They will complain about everything you do. I highly recommend Oskaloosa or Bloomfield course over this. Very rude and also hints of classism, they dont like poor people on their course

Had a great time. Staff was amazing. Course was in good shape. I will be back when I am in Ottumwa.
