Normally this place gets a five... Today the greens were horrible, super long grass, they just aerated the fairways, huge holes and dirt cloths. I don't feel like you should have to pay full price with course conditions like that

The pool is really nice! The area is well-kept and clean. The lifeguards are kind too—very friendly and social. They’re also very patient with kids who have special needs. For example, my little sister (nine years old and autistic) blew one of their whistles (lightly) and the life guard just laughed and brushed it off, which I appreciate because not everyone holds that same patience for special needs kids. The upstairs dining area is nice as well. Clean, well-kept. Although they could benefit from using signs to indicate what food is available and what is not. For my first time there, I was confused and there was very little communication and/or help in that regard. In terms of customer service, I unfortunately cannot say that it was satisfactory. The person working upstairs at the bar was quite rude to me. I’m unsure what the root of the issue is, but I don’t appreciate the attitude, especially when this is my first time coming here. I do try to give everyone the benefit of the doubt—maybe she was having a bad day or is going through something personal. Hell, maybe she had a rude customer before I came in. I’ve worked in food service before so I can understand. However, I have to firmly but kindly say that the way she spoke to me was not okay. I think the communication between new customers and upstairs staff could be improved. However, they still get points for creativity (Have ya’ll seen their 80s theme, frosted cookies? Amazing) and atmosphere. Overall, my experience has been a 3 out of 5.

Awesome 9 hole golf course that is beautify kept and is a very well run establishment. If you're looking for a fun 9 holes, this is your place! Gateway Recreation recently won the Iowa 9 hole golf course of the year award

Gateway Recreation is a small, but well kept/maintained golf course. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable and professional. The swimming pool is really nice and the events hosted at the clubhouse have always been a good time. My family recommends Gateway!

Do not golf here just had some person claiming to be the president of the course come out drunk and start blaming my friend and I for stuff we did not do in front of other paying customers have never been so disrespected in my life and will never go here again I would recommend going to osky over this pos course unless you like playing and crab grass and getting blamed for ruining the course
