Well maintained 9 hole course. Greens are not too fast and offer some challenging pin placements.

Wawasee Golf Club is a fun, laid-back course that’s great for a relaxed round. The layout is pretty straightforward, making it good for casual golfers or anyone just looking to enjoy a day outside. The course was in decent shape, and the staff was friendly and welcoming. It’s not super fancy, but it gets the job done and has a nice local feel. Solid place to play if you’re in the area.

Checkout process was friendly and smooth. The course is really rough, though. Fuzzy greens and patchy grass throughout. I thought maybe the upside would be a course that wasn't too busy and easy to navigate but it was packed with backed up with slow golfers. I left after 4 holes when I saw hole 5 had 2 groups waiting. Automated tee times would solve this. Might be a decent place to play if you're drinking with buddies and don't mind conditions or hitting once every 5-10 minutes.

It is May 25th Memorial Day weekend and I called this place on Tuesday May 20th to make a tee time. The lady that answered the phone told me that they aren’t taking tee times this Sunday because of an event they have in the afternoon so it’s first come first serve up until 930. We got there at 902 am and there were a lot of carts sitting available. I walk into the club house and first thing the same lady that told me no tee times asked me is if I have a tee time. When I said no you told me your not taking tee times for this Sunday she got crappy and said “let me finish” then proceeds to say there is a way to make a tee time so they have to honor that but they weren’t taking tee times for the morning. I can’t make this up it was the most confusing and frustrating thing cause the lady didn’t care at all we were there to play with our family that was in from out of town and have been planning to play there all week. Then as we were walking out visibly frustrated another group walks in and she says to them “do you guys have a tee time” they all said they called in a day or two before and she said no tee times it’s first come first serve. And again there were around 10 carts sitting there available and us and that other group were turned down and had to leave. Makes absolutely no sense.

Costs a little more than I would expect from a 9 hole course, but good grass, good greens, not the best tee boxes. Nice little place for a quick round.
