Valentine's Special. A good deal. BUT, the hot tubs were a disappointment. There were no bubbles, and the wall jets did not have any pressure. My husband had called prior to booking to ask if the hot tubs were working, and we were told yes. Yes, there is a hot tub, and yes it has hot water, but in my opinion it is stretching the truth a bit to say they are working. They worked 6 years ago when we stayed as you would expect a hot tub to work. Other than that, dinner at the Chophouse was great. And our room was clean.

We had our wedding at Swan Lake Resort a few weeks ago (Sept 2025) and everything was amazing. We are golfers and had a golf outing with family/friends the day before the wedding. Chad, the golf director, was very helpful setting that up and creating a fun event for our large group (7 tee times - 28 golfers). We gave our wedding decor to the staff Thursday evening and they set everything up for us by Saturday morning! John, the venue coordinator, was amazing. He was great during the planning process and double-checked details before the wedding day. He also took us and our photographer around the golf course on a golf cart to take pictures after the ceremony! Everything turned out better than we could have imagined. The food was tasty and the venue was beautiful. We had an amazing weekend! The only downside (nothing to do with the wedding venue or golf) - We had several wedding guests complain about the hotel front desk staff being rude to them. My husband and I did not experience this issue but we checked in on Thursday night whereas most of our guests checked in on Friday / Saturday so there were probably different staff members working.

August 2024 I DON'T RECOMMEND THE CABINS: We stayed there for a 2 day 1 night golf stay and play. The reservation was originally booked for a night in one of the cabins. The cabin hadn't been cleaned at all from the looks of it and for quite some time either. There were dead bugs all over the floor. The sink wasn't cleaned well and showed signs of needing upgraded. (see pics) The shower was disgusting! These pictures are AFTER I had attempted to scrub it clean for quite a while with dish soap from the mini kitchen and paper towels. I only attempted to do this as we checked in really late at night after a round of golf and dinner. The black and orange colored mold had been on there so long it wasn't coming off easily. The metal drain cover on the shower floor wasn't even screwed down at all. It was just resting on top of the drain pipe. The carpet looked like it hadn't been vacuumed and there was a musty smell in the entire cabin. I went to the front desk and showed them the pictures to prove I wasn't just complaining about something minor. The lady at the front desk was super nice and apologized. She said "guys normally book the cabins" and was surprised by what I was telling her and the pics I showed her. She gladly switched us into the main resort in a room that had recently been completely updated. So, I can say they did the right thing and didn't give us a hard time about switching the room. Kudos to them for being kind and helpful with the situation. If you stay here, I recommend the main resort. The breakfast was decent, a small buffet style setup. The golf course is very pretty and fun to play. I'm giving 3 stars instead of 1 because they did go the extra mile to get us into a nice, updated room in the main resort even though they were very booked up that night.

We have a child that lives in the area so we were looking for somewhere a little nicer than the average hotel to stay since we come often. This did not fit the bill. The grounds are gorgeous, but then you step into the hotel room and are deeply disappointed. We paid over $300/night and the rooms are very aged/ outdated and the beds are okay. Everyone woke up with a stiff back but survivable. If the price tag matched the quality or the marketing wasn’t so misleading, the rooms may be deemed “acceptable.” The fact is that they boast themselves online as luxury and the rooms are very far from luxury. The average Holiday Inn is of much better quality. I wish I would have known because it made for a disappointing weekend. We actually tried to cancel when we checked in because it didn’t meet our expectations but they said because we booked on their website instead of calling in (who does that?) we weren’t allowed to cancel. We’re still on the search to say the least to find a place to call home whenever we visit our son but Swan Lake is not the winner. For anyone who has had a different experience we were in room 232 so maybe some rooms are better or worse, but ours didn’t match the marketing materials.

We've been hosting our annual golf event at Swan Lake Resort for over 10 years, and every year they continue to exceed expectations. The course is beautifully maintained, offering a perfect blend of challenge and enjoyment for players of all skill levels. The staff is consistently professional, accommodating, and genuinely invested in making each event a success. From the planning stages to the final putt, Swan Lake provides an exceptional experience. Their facilities are top-notch, and the scenic surroundings add a special touch that our guests always appreciate. It's rare to find a venue that delivers such consistent quality year after year. Highly recommended for anyone looking to host a golf event or simply enjoy a great day on the course!
