Extremely disappointed as a local resident who recommended this course to visiting family As a local resident, I’m embarrassed that I recommended Pine View Golf Course to my visiting family from Arizona. My son and nephews had a confirmed 9:30 AM tee time and were told over the phone that rental clubs would be available. After driving 25 minutes to the course, staff suddenly claimed only one rental set was available and refused to allow club sharing - despite the boys having their own set as well. When my sister-in-law spoke to management, she was given a completely different explanation about age requirements and driver’s licenses - neither of which were mentioned during booking or to the boys upon arrival. Both 18-year-olds have valid licenses, yet staff never asked to see them. The inconsistent explanations make it clear this was age-based discrimination. Management failed on multiple levels: - Staff wasn’t properly trained on actual policies vs. arbitrary restrictions - Booking procedures don’t screen for supposed “requirements” - No clear communication or customer service protocols - Potential age discrimination when policies aren’t consistently applied My nephews both played varsity golf in high school and these are respectful young adults who understand course etiquette. The dismissive treatment they received was unprofessional and potentially illegal if based solely on their age. We immediately went to Pond View Golf Course, where the staff was welcoming and professional - they allowed club sharing and the boys enjoyed their round. The contrast in customer service was stark. Pine View’s management needs to address these serious training and policy issues. As a local family, we won’t be returning or recommending this course to others.

We are visiting from Arizona and my son and nephews went to golf this morning at Pine View and had a tee time scheduled for 9:30 from the day before and they called first and asked if they could rent clubs. The lady told them yes. We drove 25 minutes to the course and they went in by themselves because they are 18 and one is 13. They told them they only had one set of clubs to rent and that they couldn't share the clubs. The lady should have said they had one set of clubs on the phone to rent if that was the case. They also brought their own set so they would have had two sets of clubs. They discriminated against them because then when I spoke with the manager she said they had to be 16 and have a driver license. Both of them had a drivers license and over 16 yet she didn't ask them for their license and just said they couldn't share the clubs and told them they couldn't golf. It was clearly due to their age and my son golfed for his high school team and they are respectful young men. Very disappointed how they treated them. I do not recommend this golf course as they are very disrespectful and discriminating toward young adults. We went to Pond View instead and they were treated very nicely there and were able to share clubs and enjoy a round of golf.

Disappointed grandmother - Why discourage young people from outdoor activities? As a grandmother, I’m deeply disappointed in how Pine View Golf Course treated my grandsons. These are well-behaved young men who choose to spend their time outdoors playing golf rather than inside with video games - exactly the kind of activity we should be encouraging in today’s world. Why would any business discourage young people from participating in activities that help them grow into contributing members of society? This kind of treatment is exactly why so many young people today prefer to stay inside and do nothing. We should be celebrating youth who choose active, respectful pastimes. Just because they’re young doesn’t mean they lack experience. My grandsons have played golf courses all across the United States and even in Ireland. Most adults probably don’t have the golf experience these boys do. They understand course etiquette, respect the game, and conduct themselves appropriately. The staff at Pine View made assumptions based solely on age, denying these accomplished young golfers the opportunity to play despite having confirmed reservations. When we called to address the situation, management doubled down on their discriminatory treatment instead of making it right.

One Star - Disappointed out of state visitors I'm writing this review based on a very frustrating experience my nephews had while visiting Indiana on vacation. We are visiting family in the area and they were excited to golf together as they all live in separate states. Local family members and friends recommended Pine View Golf Course. We booked online and called ahead to confirm that they could reserve clubs. They were told that this would be no problem. When they arrived there were a multitude of excuses provided as to why they could not golf, including age and not having drivers licenses (two of them did have licenses). This was incredibly disappointing, as it wasted time and disrupted vacation plans. If there are age restrictions, they need to be clearly stated on the website and communicated accurately over the phone. Don't tell people one thing and then do another! We were able to find a course for them to golf at not too far away and their day turned around. Grateful to POND VIEW Golf yCourse for their hospitality and warm welcome.

Unfortunately we drove from another local town to enjoy a day of golf; however, this is one of the worst golf courses I’ve played. Not only was it hard to tell where the fairways were, but the grass was so poorly maintained meaning the grass was weeds instead of grass. Tee boxes in poor condition and the worst part was the brown greens that were overgrown. How are the greens brown with all the rain we’ve had? The normal speed of the greens was greatly affected by this overgrown mistake. Hard to find the cart path too because there was hit or miss asphalt. The question is how do you charge my wife and I $47 for a course in condition for $20 per person at most?
