We visited Fyre Lake in July of 2024 for the first time as a group of 24 and fell in love with the course and the staff. We have an annual Ryder Cup style tournament and typically jump around the Midwest, but opted to return and stay in the newly-built villas. The hospitality they showed us from arrival to departure was incredible, and the meals were great. Special shout out to Elle for everything she did! The course and greens were in great condition - we had an insane amount of rain before the last tournament day but were able to get 36 in with cart path only most of the day. Breathtaking views and challenging holes. We all had an exceptional time (except for Team USA who lost - I would like to note that for public record) and would like to thank the staff for making it a very memorable trip. From the looks of what Mark has planned in the next few years, this place is only going to get more popular.

My buddies and I made a weekend trip to play 36 at TPC John Deere and 18 at Fyre Lake. It’s safe to say Fyre is not far behind. Me personally, I am a big advocate for links style golf and fun layouts, which Fyre possessed undoubtedly. The greens were rolling to perfection and it’s obvious to anyone who golfed here with us on 4/14 that it was well manicured. My one and only complaint was that the bunkers weren’t raked/mowed properly all throughout, leaving crumbly lies which resulted in the ball lying in awkward spots against the collar. I guess that’s why you shouldn’t go in them. Outside of the course itself, Mark (the owner) is a great personality. Very down to earth guy who was very involved in several different aspects of the course; (Pro shop, washing carts, dealing with maintenance, etc). For a morning weekend price of $55 with a cart, I was ecstatic. Luckily, I will be back here on 4/20 for their 4 man scramble tournament and I couldn’t be more excited. Highly recommend this hidden gem. 9.2/10.

This place was spectacular. The layout and scenery were spot on. Idk what was better the fairways and greens or the cart paths. Everything was so well maintained. Tipped it out in a light rain and course was soft so the less the 7000 yds played right about there. Only things that bring it down to an 8/10 were; bunkers had hardly any sand so I did bounce a few, there’s no fridge which is just a bit odd but not a negative, and the clubhouse is a large double wide trailer only had brats and burgers. I would play this course everyday. Don (2 handicap)

Best value for public golf in the entire state of Illinois that I've played so far. Easily a 10/10 and wouldn't hesitate to go back. Exceeded expectations for sure.

Awesome golf course and awesome staff. Had a large group two day outing this weekend. They absolutely took care of us and made it an unbelievable experience on top of the course being in unbelievable shape. Can’t say enough great things about this place and will be back for sure.
