The course is in great shape, especially considering they had a couple of inches of rain 2 days ago. The greens are fast, but fair and true. We will play again!

I'm surprised by some of the negative reviews. I have played at DG&LC many times and never had a bad experience (other than not playing anywhere near my best on some visits). The course is generally in very good shape and the staff seem knowledgeable, efficient, and on top of things. Food in the restaurant is not bad either, and the servers are friendly and the deck is nice. Practice facilities are quite good. Their driving range app works too. Pricing can sometimes be high but other times not bad. Your individual mileage may vary

It’s my home course. It’s challenging, but fair. It does get backed up. It gets an average review because there are other golf courses close by which play nice, are just as well kept (Heritage Oaks, Chevy Chase) but treat you like a person. The clubhouse staff is matter of fact and defer to the starters who are almost universally arrogant and inflexible, noncourteous and sometimes downright rude. The Superintendent should send the staff to Chevy Chase for lessons in manners and customer service. They get it.

I thoroughly enjoyed the golf course. Played in early November, course was in outstanding condition. Greens were true and fast. Best $50 I've spent in a long time

Had 4 golfers and 1 of my kids riding along. Pro shop manager pulled us aside before we tee’d off, was rude and told me he would make an exception but this is never allowed again. Charged me $20 for the ride along even though I paid for 18 holes and told them we were only playing 9. I was happy to pay but it really doesn’t seem necessary to nickel and dime me. Terrible attitude and customer service. Clubs should support the interest of kids not be rude to their parents in front of kids. Makes my kids feel unwelcome. We finished ahead of schedule and never slowed anyone up. Starter was friendly and made up for the pro shop. This place is a dog track and they treat it like a championship course. Greens were in horrible shape. Even my son knows how to fix a ball mark on the green. They should know what they are, an easy, accessible course for beginners to average golfers and therefore should be more welcoming.
