Very nice course, like every place else this year, fairways are dry and hard but greens are great.

It was a rainy day. Greens were excellent. Still need some maintenance works for preparing the courses for the summer.

Harry Mussato at WIU. 6.5/10 stars Pros about the course: 1. Interesting layout with pretty cool carry-over-water shots. 2. Lots of undulating fairways with a few blind tee shots. 3. Good use of mix of water throughout the course. 4. Price. I payed $40 for 18 with a cart on Sunday in June. 5. Back and front play differently with the front being a little tighter and the back being more wipe open and forgiving. 6. Greens were in decent shape and some of the fastest I've played. Cons: 1. Bunkers are nonexistent. Basically just dirt holes with weeds and rocks. I just took my ball out, so not to damage a club. Plus it rained the day before and some bunkers still hadn't drained. 2. Golf cart was on its last leg. Not sure if the other carts were as bad but mine was from 1980, so no creature comforts like bigger drink holders, phone holders, USB plug ins, gps screens. 3. Course is in BFE. I drove a combined 5 hours to play this course so that's on me. Even though a decent course, and a fun track, this course isn't worth more than a 30 minute drive. 4. Clubhouse was a little disappointing. Thought with it being a University's course it would be a little nicer and bigger with university stuff everywhere but it was kinda bland and dark and unimpressive. 5. Fairways were full of little weeds with white tops on a lot of front 9 holes. Made it difficult to spot your ball on blind shots. Overall: Harry Mussato is a cool course and if you live in the area, one I'd play a few times a year. It has some intimidating holes that live up to their appearance. It would be a lot more enjoyable with real bunkers and if the ponds were maintained a little better. All in all, its worth the money and worth playing atleast once.

Had fantastic time here at this course, the young lady who runs it or at least I think she does was so great and accommodating! We were there hosting a few games for a golf tournament and we couldn't have asked for better service and attention from this course. Top of the line employees here and the course looks beautiful!

I played front nine twice. Tough course first time around. Flags are not evident, and some holes hidden behind hills. Sand traps are plentiful, but more rocks and mud than sand. Overall a good course that is reasonably priced.
