Description

Cog Hill #3 - Red offers a traditional parkland experience with tree-lined fairways and well-protected greens. Many holes reward shot shaping and precise placement off the tee. The course is known for its strong conditioning and enjoyable routing. It's approachable but still strategic, making it popular for league play. A dependable, classically designed layout.

Amazing course and had fun time playing. Played the Dubsdread course. Pretty nice layout, challenging but fun to play. Hosted multiple Professional PGA golf tournament including the BMW championship for many years. Would love to play here again.

I played the No. 4 Dubsdread while I was in town. The course is well designed with a strategic layout. Accuracy is more important than distance here. All greens are surrounded by bunkers with fast rolling speed. It definitely takes strategy to determine how to approach the green. While I enjoyed playing this course, the condition of the green needs a lot of improvement. Every green was filled with sand spots and rolled lines. This was beyond aeration condition. It is not worth the full price.

I've played on courses 1, 2 and 3 and have had great experiences. All 3 are beautiful and great for the price you pay. Only downside is how backed up they can get sometimes. But thats with every golf course. A+ for being a public course.

I had an awesome experience playing Course No. 2, Ravines, at Cog Hill Golf & Country Club. From the moment we arrived for our early tee time, the staff’s kindness stood out. Even as they were just opening up and getting the day started, they were incredibly sweet and accommodating, making us feel right at home. Cog Hill is a stunning facility overall, and it strikes the perfect balance between being welcoming and challenging. The driving range is fantastic, offering a great space to warm up, but what I love most is how it’s not a stuffy or pretentious place. It truly feels like a golf center for everyone—welcoming to the everyday golfer while still offering top-notch courses that demand your best game. As for the Ravines course itself, I absolutely loved it. The layout is thoughtful and engaging, with each hole offering something unique. Several holes are especially scenic, making for not only a great round of golf but also a visually rewarding experience. It’s not a course to be underestimated, though—you definitely need to bring your “A” game to enjoy it fully. Being new to the area, Cog Hill has already made a lasting impression on me. This was my first round here, but it certainly won’t be my last. I’m excited to return and try all the other courses they have to offer. For anyone looking for a high-quality golf experience without the pretension, Cog Hill—and especially the Ravines course—is a must-play. This was a very overdue review from this past Spring ❤️

I was genuinely excited to golf at Cog Hill, No 4 after seeing it rated as one of the top 100 courses in the United States. Unfortunately, my experience fell far short of expectations. The practice and warm-up greens were extremely muddy, making it nearly impossible to get a proper feel for the day ahead. There was also no grass to hit from on the range — only worn, bare spots — and I found myself hitting golf balls barely three inches away from other players, which felt unsafe and uncomfortable. When I arrived at the cart, I was surprised to find no towels or tees provided, something I would expect at a course with this reputation and price point. On the course itself, the greens were not as clean or well-maintained as anticipated, and the overall design lacked the excitement and character I was hoping for. I was also very saddened to find that the pro shop had such a small selection of women’s clothing, and nearly all sizes were sold out except for large. For a club that hosts golfers from all over, it was disappointing to see such limited options for female players. While the course itself is okay, it simply doesn’t meet the standard promised on the website. For a club with such a strong reputation, there’s a lot that needs improvement to truly deliver the premium experience golfers expect here.
