Played the Palmer course yesterday. The staff were all very nice, very welcoming and accommodating. Rental clubs were very nice. Nice grass range and large chipping and putting areas. Course was in good shape for how much rain had come thru the last couple days. Some of the bunkers were wet but manageable. The greens were a bit sluggish to start but as the sun came out and the breeze picked up they got quicker. The course is a nice resort course with a good mix of easier holes and some more challenging ones. Hole 17 has the picturesque view of the ocean when on the green. It was a great day and really enjoyed playing this course!

From start to finish top class course! Driving range to tee box was amazing. Greens in Hawaii so much different but starter went over course and first hole which helped me have a great round. Fairways were perfect along with greens and course views. Amazing day and thanks o staff who made it even better. Thanks

A beautiful course. The grounds are well manicured. The greens are fun and challenging. The carts are super nice. The staff is welcoming, even when busy. Speaking of busy, that is the only major flaw with this course. It is packed! Every time I’ve played, I have played behind slower groups in front of me. They need to cut some tee times or spread them out a bit more. Additionally the food/beverage access on the course is very slim. I’ve only seen the food cart once in the times I’ve played. Lastly, if you are coming expecting Hawaiian ocean views, you only really get that on hole 17. Overall this course is a beautiful, fun, and challenging. Just be ready to wait a bit for pace of play.

Turtle Bay Golf Club, Hawaii Review From the moment I arrived, the service was outstanding. Every staff member, no matter who they encountered, gave their best effort in guiding and assisting guests. I was impressed by their respectful attitude and their thoughtful attempts to understand, without ever treating tourists casually. The magnificent Hawaiian weather, combined with Turtle Bay’s stunning fairways and greens, elevated the entire experience to another level. For non-residents, the green fees are undeniably expensive. However, if life is about once-in-a-lifetime experiences, playing at Turtle Bay in Hawaii is absolutely worth it. The relaxed atmosphere and the attentive, considerate attitude of the marshals and concierge staff further enhanced the value of the club. That said, the costs are high — not only for the green fees but also for the pro shop merchandise, which is priced even higher than other golf shops, in line with the club’s reputation. Aside from this, everything else was simply perfect.

Aeration without any notice—completely unacceptable, and no apology at all. I honestly can’t believe this place is considered a “high-end” golf course. My friends and I carved out a short vacation and decided to play at Turtle Bay, drawn by the Arnold Palmer name. The website made it look amazing with stunning views, and I was genuinely excited when booking. Unfortunately, the reality was extremely disappointing. We flew 2,500 miles from LA and played on the morning of September 5th. At $200 per person, it’s not cheap. But when we arrived, there was no warm greeting, minimal explanation from staff, and it honestly felt like we had just walked into a $70 municipal course. The real shock came when we reached the first green—all 18 holes had just been aerated. There was no notification whatsoever at booking or check-in. If we had known, we absolutely would have chosen another course. This completely ruined the first day of our vacation. On top of that, the course views are nowhere near what the website shows. Ocean views are minimal at best. Overall, this experience was a huge letdown. If you’re considering playing here, make sure to call ahead and ask about course conditions (especially aeration), otherwise you may end up as disappointed as we were.
