The newest Reynolds course threads through hardwoods and along coves on the quiet side of Lake Oconee, with Fazio's signature framing and roomy fairways. Strategic center-line bunkers and diagonal water edges dictate bold or conservative lines depending on the wind. Greens are expansive with interior contours that can transform hole locations into entirely different tasks. The site feels secluded even within a major resort, and conditioning is resort-polished. Very clean restaurant. Excellent food and drink. Sit outside if you have a chance. Our server Destiny, was very friendly and professional. I see that they edited my entire review. Unfortunately I read were "The National" is now closed to non-members. That's a shame because we were going to stop by again to grab a bite to eat on the way to the Masters. This is my second edit to my original review. We stopped by on the way down to the Masters this year and I can confirm "The National" is definitely members only. There were not a lot people in the restaurant when we stopped by. Like I said originally, it is a very nice place and good food.
