Terrible experience. We had 4 foursomes playing. When we made reservations there was nothing said about the conditions. Apparently new owners do not yet have cutting equipment for the fairways- I was told this after we paid. The fairway grass was about 2-3 inches deep- not really playable. The greens, which were cut, were fair at best. No food service or drinks available except for a high price at the pro shop- $3 for a candy bar. It was cart path and rough only. I have a condition that prohibits me from walking much and there was no exceptions. I had to basically quit after 13 holes. I stayed only to support my team and putt. On top of that, they charged us $41 to play. Our group will not be playing here again- we used to play here at least once every 3 months. The one star rating was generous.

My parents (Sharlene and Paul Poole) convinced my spouse and I to play golf here. What a disaster! I'm glad my game is not as bad as this course. This is the trashiest course that shouldn't be compared to or even mentioned in the same breath as the "REAL" courses in the Villages! When you drive to the course from 441, you will notice that this subdivision is lacking in curb appeal and general lack of class. I'm really surprised that my parents settled on such a place to live. They always had class and expectations when I was growing up. I guess approaching 80 years old and dementia has something to do with it. Regardless, my family will NEVER go back to this subdivision.

Watch out for the upcharge! The price your told on the phone will go up when you arrive. This course is not worth the price. The box was was horrible, and the greens are full of sand. Doesn’t seem to be very well maintained. When I brought this to the attention of the pro shop, they said “ well we’ve had some people call out sick so it’s due to that”. So I guess when an employee calls out sick you just let the course go until they come back.🙄. 2 trips in one. 1st & last.

T-boxes are in nice shape, greens are going too take more time to fill in, but most of them roll true. We've golfed there a couple of times now staff were very nice

I recently played a round at the links of spruce Creek. I was impressed by the condition of the greens. They were soft and the putts rolled true. I understand there is a new superintendent of maintenance, great job over seeding. I have played a lot of golf in central Florida, by far the best greens around so far. The person who mowed the greens on March 1st or so definitely needs more training as the collars were scalped from not picking the blades up soon enough! All in all nice course I'll be back.
