Played Sanibel Island Golf Course in Early April 2025. Made the trek down from Ontario, Canada. What a Great Experience! Drew let me know what to expect on Course Conditions, as they were still going through the continued Renovations. Very much appreciated, as that’s a hospitality you don’t find at many other places. Course was in great shape, not 100% obviously, but you could see the work that’s been put in. It’s very evident on the pride that’s taken with this course. The wildlife we saw during the round was amazing. Pictures provided. Looking to get back real soon and see what a year has done in the Renovations Process. Sincerely, Jay Chantler

Played 2/9/2025, which was a Monday. I teed off at 7:40am and played the entire front nine solo with no one else on the course, which was really nice. The back nine had some groups who teed off from 10 but the pace was great and I finished 18 in 2:20. You’ll see many comments on the condition of the course, and they’re correct that it’s still recovering from the hurricane, but the fairways are still very playable and the greens were *PERFECT*. And I mean it, they were immaculate. The course layout was very fun. Don’t let the reviews discourage you from playing. I was going to deduct a star because the starter wouldn’t let me ride the alligators but he’s probably right, I don’t even know how to put a saddle on one.

First off a couple things. The team members were awesome and we understand the course was destroyed by the hurricane; however, this is not even close to a $150 course! More like $50-$60 would be more reasonable. The layout is extremely nice, challenging holes with water and OB and multiple tee boxes, waste areas and the fairways are just okay. You can see the effort to improve however, the fairways are rough, with lots of bare spots and rugged areas, tee boxes are pretty much all dirt, and greens while green are very fuzzy, slow and have bare spots. I know they are working to improve with new irrigation, greens and fairways, and hoping to open their food service soon. We test tasted their pizza, it was real good! But be reasonable on pricing. If you go, realize the history of the past destruction and just enjoy the layout. Hopefully, and I realize it is "snowbird season" where everyone jacks there prices up way too high, they will offer a more reasonable price in the future.

Sanibel Island Golf Club offers a scenic and relaxed golfing experience surrounded by Florida’s natural beauty. With 18 well-maintained holes (Par 70), plenty of water hazards, and frequent wildlife sightings like herons and alligators, the course feels both peaceful and engaging. Special thanks to Drew, who does an excellent job managing the course—we were even proactively informed about course conditions the evening before our round. Friendly service and a laid-back atmosphere make this a great spot for golfers of all levels visiting Sanibel Island. We’ll definitely be back!

Amazing course, great views, and world class service. Drew reached out to me the night before to inform me of the course condition. He met me with a handshake and knew my name and greeted me personally when I arrived. The course is still recovering and honestly I would find someone who knows the course well to play with. I played Tobacco rd recently so the storm damage didn't phase me as I just treated it as challenging wasteland area. Tee boxes are healthy and thriving. Greens in excellent condition and were firm and fast. Lots of scenic beauty to take in. This won't be the fanciest course you ever play but you'd be hard pressed to find nicer people.
