We had a nice round at Big Cypress on the South course. Staff are friendly and we teed off a bit early. Pace of play was 4 hours (4some) which was good. Course is in decent shape for Feb - fairways are a bit dry but the greens are in great shape. Run fast and true so fun to play. Back nine is tight with some scenic holes. Even saw some wildlife as we played. Great day!

I lived here for just at 14 months. My husband & I moved here to help take care of his mother during the last year of her life as she didn't want to leave her home of 33 years there. Cypress Lakes is a beautiful place of beauty with all of the rolling hills on the golf course, big Cypress trees that surround the community and the best part is the amazing wild life there. Everything from a rare sighting of an Eagle to gators laying leisurely on the side of ponds in which you may even see one crossing the road or come out to see ones tail sticking out from under your car. The different birds that are all over here, are just phenomenal to see. I was blessed to see a fox, coyote, rabbits, and the deer....oh my goodness. The deer are the best of all. In the early mornings, you see them as they cross the golf course or in the late of days and early night, they make their way out to munch on plants or trees you may have in your yard. The sunsets are stunning and it never gets boring. ✨️ the nature of this place. Is just such an amazing experience. Personally, I can not review the golf club. I didn't play golf while there. But I watched many do so.

Played their South course in early May 2025. It is well maintained especially the greens. They are fast challenging and in excellent condition. Avoid shots to greens that put you above the pin, this course will punish you severely. There is a lot of water and bunkers as well. A bonus is that there is an abundance of wildlife on and around the course. I saw wild turkeys, large turtles, deer, sandhill cranes and an abundance of alligators all in just 18 holes. But the highlight was the video below. It's very unlikely you will see this guy but May is mating season so they throw caution to the wind. This guy is looks around 13 to 14 feet. So think about this video when you are hitting near some water with your back to the water. He disappeared once he made it to the pond.

For the money, probably the best course in the area. Tee boxes showing signs of wear, but useable, fairways in great shape and greens are excellent. Stimp speed is appropriate for the slopes and put true and consistently. Sand traps had plenty of soft sand and with right technique were straightforward to get out. Speed of play was 3:50 hours, which is reasonable 4 ball speed. If you look, there is also wildlife and saw deer, crocs and wide variety of birds. Buggies are electric and in good condition with the extra padded seats.

I really liked playing here! The greens were excellent for my standards. Although, we only played the front nine and the highest PAR is a four; my son and I and Marty still had a great time. PROS: * Inexpensive to play there, $64 for the three of us to play (9 holes only); electric golf cart was included in the price. * I got to see an alligator bathing in the sun (You won’t see that at Chambers Bay!). We also seen a gaggle of wild turkeys. * The course is easy but challenging. A lot of water ways and ponds! * Their ball washer was functional. * The weather was great CONS: * The cart’s power was way too slow for me (LOL) “Please take the governor off!” * The front desk attendant could be a little more cheerful * NO GOLF CLUB LOGO GOLF BALL FOR SALE😡😡😡😡😡😡 OVERALL: I will return and I will be coming back with a vengeance “Please have your logo ball for sale, I would like to put your logo in my display case!”
