Had a wonderful stay at Cheeca Lodge & Spa, and Haydee B. at the front desk truly made the experience extra special. The amenities this resort has to offer are incredible, from the beautiful ocean views and relaxing pools to the great dining and overall atmosphere. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND their recently updated PREMIER ROOMS!!! She was so personable, welcoming, and genuinely went above and beyond to make sure our stay felt memorable. Her warmth and attentiveness set the tone for a fantastic Keys visit. Thank you, Haydee, for taking such great care of us. Can’t wait to visit again!

★★★★★ Our stay at Cheeca Lodge & Spa in Islamorada was a wonderful surprise and truly exceeded expectations. We booked a suite in the main building for six people for a two-day stay, and from the moment we arrived until checkout, everything felt top-notch and seamless. Check-in set the tone immediately—we were welcomed with rosé wine, which was such a lovely touch after traveling. The staff throughout the property were warm, attentive, and professional, delivering excellent service from start to finish. The resort itself is beautiful and relaxing. The beach is gorgeous, the heated swimming pools are perfect for unwinding, and there’s so much to enjoy on site: a golf course, spa, open-air jacuzzi, and plenty of peaceful spots to sit back and soak in the atmosphere. It really captures that effortless, indulgent vacation feeling—what the Italians would call la dolce vita. Spacious accommodations, great amenities, and a calm, luxurious vibe made this stay memorable for our whole group. A true five-star experience in the Keys. We would absolutely come back.

Cheeca Lodge was one of the best vacation places that we stayed. There were so many things that made Cheeca Lodge stand out. Before booking I spoke with Taylor Torres unbeknownst to me she is a manager. Her professionalism, warm/friendly tone was outstanding. She said let her know when we arrive, which we did and she remembered us. I can’t say enough about her. The entire staff also were above and beyond, accommodations everything we expected, but Taylor Torres is a definite asset to Cheeca. We are looking forward to returning in November. Very satisfied guest Miss Joey Capo Sheila Profsky

Infested with roaches and management did not seem to care. I asked about their protocol since they were small roaches and I thought they might be bed bugs. (In the end, I don’t think they were bedbugs because the roaches were numerous and small but bigger than bedbugs so probably a different type of cockroach). They said we’ll move you to another room and have our pest control check after the room is vacant. Several roaches got INTO THE BACKPACK and there was a roach on the wall waiting in the new room. Nightmare fuel. I guess they didn’t even bother to check the new room. This was for a business trip after working 12+ hour days. Moved to a third room. Had to ask for them to wash the backpack and clothes to hopefully not bring them home. No proactive measures or solutions, I had to come up with that remedy. Absolute nightmare. I would be understanding if they handled things better. A hotel with a restaurant on the water is going to have pests. But moving to 3 rooms, having roaches in your bag and on your clothes, and having to ask for the bare minimum of washing the stuff that had roaches crawling on it because they weren’t going to do anything about it is just unacceptable. Otherwise it’s a nice property with lots to do that we wanted to return to as a family but how can you rest when there are roaches in the room and your concerns over a health hazard are not properly addressed? I’m writing this review to warn anyone staying there to thoroughly check the room before you settle in.

Stayed here for 7 nights (across 4 suites and 1 Casita) with my entire extended family (19 people). Overall the property is nice and there are lots of activities. The large dock is wonderful. There were many issues with the hotel though and it was certainly not up to par with what you'd expect given the price (~$2K per night for the suites plus an outrageous ~$300 per day resort fee). The service across the hotel was extremely slow. Everything from ordering drinks at the bar, ordering food (at the restaurants or room service) was very, very slow. They also, for some reason, only have basic cable at all of the TVs across the hotel so had almost no NFL games on at any of the TVs, which seems ridiculous for a hotel in America at these prices. The quality of the food was pretty sub-standard, with some exceptions. The service and quality of food across the street at both Pierre's and the Morada Bay (same ownership) was significantly better. The rooms overall were fine but certainly nothing to write home about. One of the beds in my parents ~$4K per night Casita was broken which, again, for the price seems pretty ridiculous. The hotel was also not very stroller friendly as the majority of the pathways are sand or thick gravel which is pretty difficult for strollers. Overall, a decent hotel and nice property but definitely not worth the price.
