We golfed at Gator Lakes yesterday. The front nine was not in as good of shape as the back nine. But it was an enjoyable course to play and we pretty much had the whole course to ourselves. It lived up to its name because we saw beautiful gators on three of the holes. The one was right next to the "Don't feed the Gators" sign and I would've thought it was fake until it opened its mouth for a big gator yawn! Like most any golf course, be careful digging in high grass for your ball ... My man saw a pretty big snake. The 9th hole was really cool - the green is adjacent to where the military planes land and take off next to a large body of water. One thing I wish the pro shop would've told us is that GPS takes you to a gate that is not the gate where the visitor center is - you must check in at the visitor center to get your background check and a day pass to get on base - once we found the right place it only took about ten minutes (there wasn't anyone in front of us). I would golf Gator Lakes again for sure!

Good price and decent layout. Played in November and the greens were in good shape but fairways were not great. Hard to find a decent lie because they were very hard and not plush at all.

The course is not the most beautiful, but it has lots of good perks. The pro shop guy at the desk is always courteous and respectful. The shop has a nice supply of golf items in case you forget something. Yet.... We went to a fundraiser two weeks ago on Sept 13th and bid on a silent auction basket containing Gator Lakes items. Among many items, there were 4 vouchers (with Gator Lakes emblems on it) for 18 holes of golf each signed by someone who once worked there but no longer does now. (can't read his signature). These vouchers were only good until end of year. There was also a voucher for a one-hour golf lesson with "Denise" expiring September 2026. When we went to play golf at Gator Lakes yesterday (Oct 1st, 2025), we were told that the vouchers were not valid. The guy at the desk asked his supervisor up to the desk because one of the items in the basket was an XXL large golf shirt which was way too big, and we were hoping to exchange it. "Denise" (the supervisor) saw the vouchers and adamantly said they were not valid. Stating the guy who signed them no longer worked there and was not authorized to sign them. If not for the desk guy asking her about the shirt, we may have been able to use the vouchers. She did not make any apologies. Just kept saying they were not valid. She did say the golf lesson which she gives was still valid and that we could exchange the shirt. We really felt that the Gala we went to and the organization that raised money for the warriors who receive help through generous donations was a worthy cause. Yet, I am not sure if we would have bid on the basket if we had known the vouchers were not valid. I believe we won the bid on the basket at about 400 dollars. Denise could have made an apology to us. She could have handled the situation a little better. It was unprofessional. The value of the golf games are around 160 dollars. Maybe a little more. It isn't the fault of the Gala Organizer or the Organization that Gator Lakes had a bad actor working for them and gave 4 vouchers. It isn't our fault either. I contacted the Gala person responsible for the silent auction, and she attempted to reason with those at Gator Lakes. The response I was given was that GL stated it was illegal for the person to give them. She was mortified and attempted to get GL to still honor the vouchers. I am not sure what we will do now but because of the behavior of the "Golf Pro" (Denise), I do not want to take lessons from her. Will update if this is resolved.

Had breakfast there at the Oasis Cafe. I tried something new to me and it was delicious! I had a country fried steak omelet. The steak was inside the omelet! I highly recommend this dish! It also comes with toast, but I did not want any.
