Let me start this review by stating that I am not a good golfer. Passionate, yes, good, no. I play a few times a year and I don't tend to keep score. If I finish the round with the ball I started with that's a huge accomplishment. I am also a resident of ChampionsGate - not a member of the Country Club, but I live on the course itself. I booked a round of golf in Thanksgiving week for myself and my twin sons (20) - we are all casual golfers, but we understand golf etiquette, we treat the course with respect, we try our best. I paid $300 for the three of us and we got paired with a 4th solo golfer - a very good golfer and a great guy called Vonn. We were given 4 carts by the cart guys - given how rarely we find the fairway I though that would be a good idea, but the starter didn't like it, very passive aggressively asking if we really needed a cart each. By the fourth hole it was clear we were holding up the twosome behind us. I apologized to them and we allowed them to play through. On the fourth green we received our first slow play warning. Sigh. The same warden/ranger watched us tee off the 5th, which did wonders for my game. He followed us down the 5th, and did the same again on the 6th. On the 7th he seemed to drive off, but then double backed to tell us we were not good enough to play off the middle tees and should move forward. We complied, but by this point the round was ruined for me. I know I'm not a good golfer, I don't need it pointed out thank you very much. On the 8th tee a different ranger (the passive aggressive starter) warned us we might not finish our round as we were 15 mins behind the pace of play. We had been harrassed and observed over multiple holes for the sake of 15 minutes while allowing others to play through??? Good lord. The rangers largely left us alone on the back nine, but by that point my day had been ruined, my teeth were clenched and my game had gone to hell. The course is beautiful, and challenging. The staff in the clubhouse are friendly and courteous. The rangers are an absolute disgrace and I will NEVER play this course again AND I LIVE ON THIS COURSE! If you are a good golfer (handicap 20 or less) this is probably a great course to play on. If you are a casual golfer who is looking for some recreational fun, take your business to Deer Creek RV Park instead.

I left my bushnell range finder, speaker and phone holder on cart it was dark when we left and my group was late for a reservation for dinner so bad on me for rushing. I called the proshop next morning and was told they might have them at bag drop and to call that night to see if they were turned in. It would have been easy enough to jot my number and follow up but they had no interest. It was $700 worth of stuff not just a head cover. Called that night and Kevin the manager hung up when I asked calmly, if you don't have the items then someone took them, correct? All it would have taken was a 75 foot walk to the bag drop or to communicate with one of the bag drop employees asking them to look into it. Leaving the items is 100% on me and if they walk they walk but the lack of effort from the proshop employee and Kevin was an all time low. Drove there on our last day and they still did not have them. As far as the course goes I give it a 3.5 stars out of 5. The other courses we played were in much better condition. Good wide open fairways to start the trip. 4:40 round which is not ideal

Played today in 4:20 minutes. 4 players. Rushed whole round due to inconsiderate members. Each member had own souped up cart. The armada raced down fairway and stared us down all the time. No where for them to go. Of course 4 members in their own carts will play faster than us in 2 carts. Was very irritating. Will not be back.

Decent course. We got rushed 4 times in a 5 hole period. They stated they would make us skip a hole if we didnt pick it up. Here's the issue, we were at the starter at the exact tee time. He paired us up with a random 2 some, no big deal but that process of him retrieving the 2 some took 5 minutes. Then they gave out a broken driver in the rentals, thus delaying us more since they had to run back to pro shop to change. Now we are about 15 minutes behind the schedule start. By hole 3, we were stopped by cart girl and purchased beverages as we are trying to enjoy ourselves on vacation. While this is happening, we let a 2 some pass us out of courtesy. From hole 4 to hole 8, we were stopped 4 different times. We tried to explain the situation and were told we were wrong and the ranger had us starting at 5 min after the tee time. They finally left us alone by hole 12. But that was after the other 2 some left after 9 and we skipped a par 3 cuz they just kept following... Oh and we finished the round in exactly 4 hours from the original tee time. Very unpleasant. They wanna charge $80+ for rentals and $120 for the round. If I were you, I'd take my business to the golf club. With rentals the price was the same. They also gave a free hat to both members of our group and were very polite. They didnt rush anything and just said if a member catches us, let them play through. Go to the Golf Club not country club!
