Played on 5/8/25, right after it rained for two days. The front 9 was still pretty swampy so, it was cart path only. The back 9 drained very well and was in perfect condition. I played as a single and finished 18 in 3.5 hrs. It is uniquely challenging. However, for reasons explained below, I could see this being a very slow round if the course is busy. On that note, please choose tees appropriate to your abilities. It may sound fun to try and play from the back, but that would require forced carries of 225+ yds on some holes with small landing zones. This is an extremely unique golf course and does require accurate shots and distance control because there is not much rough. Most holes have steep dropoffs where you wouldn't want to attempt to find your ball. There are several blind shots as well so course management is essential. In my opinion, this makes it very fun to play because most courses on the front range are relatively flat and wide open. The staff are friendly, their food and drink options are great and are reasonably priced. The views and the way the course was built into the landscape are fantastic. The greens are true and comparable to the other nicer courses around. The bunkers are fair in placement and were maintained well for Colorado standards. The fairways were very firm and fast, even on the front which didn't drain as well. I also appreciate the more rustic aesthetic, but maybe they went overboard with using buckets as urinals (see photos). For how much it costs to play here this seemed a little too into the theme to me. I think I only have a few areas for improvement. I think it was on #3 that the cart locked up if you try to drive on the path to the back tee boxes because the geofencing is off. When the course is cart path only, it is extremely confusing where to go because holes can share paths and the paths don't always show on the GPS. #9 shares it's green with a practice green which isn't a big deal, but the speaker blaring pop music next to the hole is a little distracting and take away from the natural beauty and seclusion of the experience. Finally, the views from the cart paths are obstructed on several holes so you cannot see the fairway or green. So when it's cart path only, and a blind shot, and blind from the path, locating your ball and planning your next shot becomes frustrating. I think all of this could be improved by updating the GPS in the carts, adding some signage, and reducing some of the mounds in places next to the cart path to add windows to the hole for visibility. I need to play here again under more normal conditions, but I had a great time and would recommend this as a special round of golf to anyone. However, maybe not worth $160-$180 when it's CPO. If you are coming from out of town and have to pick 3-4 rounds to play, this course should be on the list, definitely above Arrowhead and in line with Fossil Trace.

Great course. The greens are very difficult but fun. I can't wait to see how it all is eventually developed. The food at the restaurant was delicious and that's coming from a foody. I had the brisket Patty melt. Staff was very friendly and positive. My only negative was how far apart the driving range was to the putting green. They did have Free range balls which is nice when you pay that much.

Great condition. Everyone is super friendly. Course is tough, sometimes you feel like you had a great drive but when you get to the fairway your ball is gone. The fairways are definitely sometimes difficult to find. The greens when we played were incredibly fast and lots of break. I need a lot more time practicing making putts at this speed and dealing with the undulations. Pace of play good 1:50 as a foursome. We will be back

Beautiful course and a heck of a challenge. I mean, it is the longest course in North America. We got to play here in a scramble this past weekend and we're impressed all around. The greens are something, just hills upon hills. Bring your A game for this one. Or at least bring your patience.

By far my new favorite course. Immaculate shape, stunning views, amazing practice facilities, devious pin placements, Ray Charles inspired blind shots, fast greens, canyons deeper than... well they're deep, speedy fairways, brutally thick rough, and more. This course is 🔥🔥🔥!!!!! Bring your A game and if you're lucky enough to play with someone who has already played, listen to them when they say, "you dont want to hit it there". This is 1000% not a high handicap golfers course. You will be miserable out here. Long drive hitters, this one's for you. You'll love it out here. Average a ball 340+? Yup. You're gonna have fun. Placement is everything here! And remember, trees are 90% air!
