Great golf course. "Links style" but you have to be accurate off the tee. None of the holes border one another, so a missed fairway will cost you. First cut of rough is penal and the second cut is fescue that's thigh high. Greens and bunker complexes are in great shape. Greens are fast but they roll true. I can see why they host the US Open Qualifiers. If you struggle off the tee, I recommend playing it from a tee box closer than you think. Golf course becomes very difficult with wind. Course is set up to walk. only one instance where you're walking a long way from a green to the next tee box. The only thing holding it back from being 5 stars are some patches on the course that are a little beat up (you can see it in one of the photos below).

On May 2, my wife I hosted our daughter’s wedding at your Walnut Creek Golf Preserve facility. Our selection of Walnut Creek was based on several factors: the location, the facility quality and cost, but the primary reason for making the decision was because of your event manager, Sydni. She was welcoming, knowledgeable, and gave us confidence that the wedding would go off without a hitch. She listened to our needs, quieted our concerns and was a very good communicator, and she delivered! Living in Nashville makes planning all the little details challenging. Sydni took control and guided us through the entire process. She made herself available as needed, and also connected us with your executive chef, John, who walked us through what the menu possibilities could be and suggested quantities we would need. The meal was fabulous! Chef John also created a special menu for the children attending. We cannot tell you how pleased we are that we chose Walnut Creek! Everything that was promised, was delivered! Food and quantities were just what our guests needed, and the quality was as good as promised. The staff, from servers to bartenders and everyone else associated with the event were wonderful. Thank you so much for helping to make our daughter’s wedding very memorable. And a very special thank you to Sydni. She was exceptional! We highly recommend Sydni, Chef John, and Big Fork at Walnut Creek! Thank you again! John & Tracy Halloran

This is a quality coarse but first a huge thank you to Mr. Sibley and the grounds crew for finding one of my clubs. It was a gift to me and is sentimental. THANKS! Course is picturesque, well taken care of, good practice area and the staff is always friendly and professional. As a bonus, the food at the 19th is good as well. If you have not been here, I would recommend it. Thanks again to the grounds crew!

Fascinating golf course in terms of where it is and what's surrounding it at this point. It's right in the middle of a bunch of office parks and a small airport. The flags are those windsocks you would see near runways. Very cool. Great layout but most views are of the control tower or an office building. Very walkable with two long transfers (9 to 10 and 12 to 13). Greens are honestly boring. Very flat pushup greens for the most part. Fairways were soaking wet and the greens were firm. Tough combo for scoring that day. Otherwise, the architect did a great job navigating both sides of the major road that splits the course into two. The back 9 shines. 13 is a big, uphill par 5 with a split fairway after the tee shot. That third shot is straight up the hill. Then 14 is a short but tough par 3. Infinity green that was playing downwind with a front pin. Really cool hole. 15 and 16 are cool par 4s that dogleg in opposite ways. With 16, the second shot over water was nerve racking. 17 is a par 3 brute from the tips. 18 is that long par 5 with water all up the right side that plays towards the range and practice greens. Fun track. I'll definitely try and come back and play more putts straight(er).

Course was in great shape. Greens were exactly where they needed to be 4 weeks after being punched. The starter was super nice and helped me find my way because I was a bit turned around. Was running late so order a breakfast burrito and it was good as well. One our group found lots of bunkers, his review was they were in good shape but felt they were ment just for him. Lol. Definitely will be back.
