Enjoyed this course, until I didn’t. I was excited to try the back 9, as I heard it was better than the front 9. On a 90+ degree day they decided to not refill the water stations until 10 AM as we were coming up on the very last water station. Three or four water stations in a row were empty. I brought water, but did not anticipate the lack of responsibility that this course has. Ended up getting extremely ill with heat exhaustion from the heat and lack of water. It turned it into a miserable experience. I called and asked to speak with the manager about my concerns and was told he would not be back for a couple of days, and I relayed what happened to the person I spoke with. She told me I would receive a call back. She treated me like I was stupid and started questioning if I brought water myself. The person I talked to on site after getting sick could also care less. I never received a call back and have not been able to get in touch with the management team. Unless I am refunded for this experience, I surely will not be spending another dollar here.

Wow! Townsend Retirement provided ladies group lessons with instructor Christina Kirkpatrick and SHE IS FANTASTIC!! This is a first of four lessons and I am excited for the next lessons! My first lesson was with my irons, which I haven't been very confident until the lesson with Christian.....what a game changer! She is superb in her instruction and such an great encourager and knows how to relate to a woman's swing. We also did chipping and I can't wait to apply my new found instruction. I highly recommend lesson with Christian! What a GEM of an instructor!!!! Thank you Christina and Thank you Townsend Retirement! - Cheryl

Really nice golf course! I went as a solo and got grouped up with a pair and another single. Besides being a little windy, the day was good. The greens are a little tall, but that's to be expected early season golfing. I would like to see however, the groups consolidate the carts. If there's a cart in the group with a seat open and a golfer walking.... I think it should be said that the walking golfer ride in the cart.

Good course, nice snack bar/restaurant. You cross the creek several times in the front 9. The back is more forgiving, but watch out for the ponds. Enjoy your round!
