Description

Ironbridge Golf Club in Glenwood Springs, Colorado, is an 18-hole alpine gem set against majestic Mount Sopris and the Roaring Fork River. Designed by Arthur Hills and refined by Tom Lehman, the course unfolds through dramatic canyon terrain, with back‑nine holes that carve through steep, scenic ravines and sweeping elevation changes. Stretching over 7,100 yards from the tips, it balances strategic challenge with accessible play via multiple tee options. The well-manicured fairways, robust practice facilities, and a welcoming clubhouse make it a standout semi-private facility. It’s renowned not just for its scenic beauty, but also for its friendly atmosphere and top-tier playing experience.

I had a lot of fun on this golf course through the canyons, with many golf challenges and a breathtaking view. Overall the maintenance is perfect, and the staff very friendly. Enjoy ⛳️⛳️

Awesome track! Love the layout, challenging but very playable. Gorgeous views, especially on the back nice. Great practice range. Overall just an awesome time and we will for sure be back. Our cart died on 16 and they came quick to the rescue.

Fairly tough course, beautiful scenery! Wish the greens were in a little better shape but we enjoy playing the course. The back 9 are in canyons so lots of up and down, very adventurous and fun!

This is a great good course with interesting holes, great views, great service, and it will challenge most golfers. You may want to bring extra golf balls. Some shots have hidden difficulty. You really can't walk this course. Beware of impatient golfers. They could get annoyed even if you are playing faster than the posted pace of play. They aerified the greens mid-October.

Played this course with family on Labor Day 2025. We were paired with a married couple older than us during the course twighlight hours. Our group didn't dilly dally: with a brief stop for water at the turn it took us the full four hours and fifteen minutes to play all 18. Staff really bragged up the final four holes in advance of our round, which are played in a canyon away from the other fourteen holes. The attached photos are of holes 17 and 18. The par fours and threes are a relief from the very long, challenging par 5s. The elevated tee boxes on most holes, when combined with the already increased elevation from being in the Rocky Mountains, provide a boost of confidence when your driver is in use. It was cool to track your shot against the darkened backdrop of the surrounding mountains. You need to be in excellent physical shape if you plan to walk this course. There is significant distance to travel from the green of one hole to the next tee box. Enjoy your riding cart despite it being without connectable Bluetooth speakers. I concur with the other reviews: this is a course that will test your skills but it is pretty.
