The course is beautiful. Challenging but still fair. You can’t beat the views and the scenery. Currently there is a lot of maintenance work being done on the course so if you go in the next few months be prepared for that. They are giving a gift card to use in their shop for the inconvenience. I always enjoy playing The Ridge

We were given warning that some of the bunkering on the front was still being worked on but would be finished in a week. The management also acknowledged that the course wasn't up to their standard, so they gave each person a $25 shop credit (Great... spend more on things I don't want. I'd rather you just gave me $25 off the price). I figured there would be several bunkers that looked finished but just weren't to be played out of to let the everything set. I was wrong. There were still a bunch of bunkers that had no sand nor sod around them. If that was the only issue, my review would have been better. the condition of the course left a lot to be desired. You can see from the attached photos that the tee boxes and fairways on certain holes were unplayable. The overall routing of the course was fine. It's a prototypical mountain course that requires you be accurate off the tee and is more forgiving around the greens. The course had just seen a few days of rain, so in certain parts it was very soft. It was cart path only, so pace of play was about 5 hours on a Wednesday. I walked but the course isn't set up for that. There are very few (if any) walking paths from tee to fairway. most of the time you're just walking on the cart path anyway. Overall it was a bland course in terrible condition that I was charged $100 to play. Wouldn't go back.

I would rate this four stars based on course conditions but did not receive a warm welcome when we checked into the golf shop and the maintenance workers need training. We had to stop play several times as they had no regard for the players. An interesting layout but a few holes were cart path only due to the steep grade which slowed down play.

Too 59 course in Colorado for a reason. I work in golf and this experience was 5 star. The beautiful conditions, great bag service and quality 19th hole where we watched a golfer air mail 18 was great. Made me almost want to hit into the bunkers because the whole course was pure.
