Played this course with friends on 5/23/25. Passed by this place a billion times and never played it until then. Staff was friendly, course was in great shape and we had a great time so we booked it again for 5/30/25 the following Friday. While the guys in the pro shop weren't as friendly they weren't bad either. Front 9 was as expected, stopped and got drinks and on our way. The group(s) in front of us either just played 9 or didn't stop as we never saw them again. So we were 3 guys and a lady who just as she was to tee off this guy on a mower just drove by her without looking and she had to wait for him before she could tee off. Not a huge deal but... SO we're on hole 12 and the golf marshal stopped by and told us to pick up the pace so we started playing ready golf. The very next hole he was back on our ass again saying we were holding up the whole course. We picked up our balls on that hole and just moved to the next hole and were about to tee off when he showed up again. This time he started in on us again, telling us there wasn't anyone for three holes in front of us. I looked behind us and there was no group even ready to tee off. I mentioned I had no control on whether or not the groups(s) stopped playing at 9 holes in front of us but if the group behind up wasn't even on the tee box he didn't need to be in our shit and that we had already skipped a hole. The beverage cart girl had just pulled up as this was happening and verified the group(s) in front of us didn't play the back 9. Ok if you've played golf for any amount of time you've been asked to pick up your pace by a marshal a time or two. This was a whole next level rudeness that was completely unnecessary. We finished our round on time. (4hrs20min, good for a Friday on a public course)) but we're fuming over how shitty we were treated. Ruined the back nine for us. He did come by one more time and told us thanks for cooperating, but his rudeness had already destroyed the afternoon. Had he made an apology for his rude behavior I wouldn't be leaving this review. All it takes is one person to make or break and experience ,Too many golf courses to pick from won't be returning any time soon.

Really fun to play Lake Arbor again after about 20 years. Affordable green fees and the course was in good condition, especially the greens. The staff was friendly, especially the gentleman who refilled my water bottle on the 15th tee. Facilities have been nicely upgraded since I last played too. I’ll be back as soon as I can.

Had a pretty rough experience here today. I brought my 15 month old daughter with me today who I was going to play 9 holes with. This is a municipal, executive course that is city owned and operated. It’s not Augusta National by any means. They told me I couldn’t bring her on the course with me even if I was just pushing her in her stroller due to “liability”. Any spectator child has to be at least 7 years old. When I asked what that meant they said “she can’t make her own decisions that young and in case she gets hit by a ball we have to be careful”. I understand the risks and a 7 year old is going to make their own decisions? Furthermore they’ve got no problem letting me have my daughter on their range or putting green which is well in range of a yanked shot on 9. The staff didn’t handle this situation with care or respect - more of a sign of how courses/clubs are treating people post pandemic golf boom. They talked down to me and had no reasonable explanation “we don’t make the rules” was their response and as I left I heard them muttering under their breath. Nice touch. I always appreciated that this course was a bit more laid back but it’s clearly not that anymore. It’s supposed to be the type of place that builds community and acts as a community resource. It’s the type of place that normally I’d want to TEACH my daughter the game but after today that isn’t happening.

Great course and even better staff! Giving them 5 stars because they’re always driving around handing out cold waters, which I really appreciate on those hot summer days. The course itself was in great shape, especially for the price you pay. One thing I really like is how helpful the staff is when it comes to booking tee times. Sometimes the website doesn’t let me book as a single, but every time I’ve called, the staff has had no problem helping me out. That’s something I’ve had trouble with at other courses, so it really stands out here. Only downfall is that they don’t allow golf carts in the parking lot, which can be a little inconvenient when loading or unloading your gear.

A day of golf is better than a day at work. That being said, wasn't a fan of the layout of the course. Tee boxes right on top of greens and super tight with traffic. No snack carts. Super friendly staff and still fun to play though if you're in the area or having trouble finding times elsewhere.
