What a picturesque par 3 golf course and a great design by Jack Nicklaus!

A “Bear’s Best” Par 3 Course in the North LA suburbs. This is the nicest Par 3 course I’ve ever played and probably ever will play. It was beautifully maintained, the property and clubhouse were first class, and 18 Par 3 holes from the Bear in one location… what a treat.

As a guest of a member, I can say that the service was exceptional and the bloody Mary's were fantastic. The meal was beautiful and the scenery was unlike any other. Thank you all for an amazing evening.

This club truly is the best!!! Christian, the golf pro, is absolutely outstanding with both kids and adults. My golf game was pretty tragic. Thanks to Christian’s guidance, patience, and expertise, I’ve improved significantly. I now hit far fewer houses, which is a true win-win for the entire Sherwood Community! Even more importantly, he helped my young son develop a genuine love for the game, which means more to me than any lower score ever could. The General Manager, Jeff, is fantastic as well. He genuinely cares about the members’ experience and is always present, making sure everything runs smoothly. You’ll see him constantly engaging, checking in, and keeping the club running at a high level. When he greets you, it’s sincere and he truly seems to enjoy what he does. No free beers from him yet, but I remain optimistic. After coming from another private club that didn’t have the same vibe or atmosphere, this has been such a breath of fresh air. The kids running pro-shop and restaurant are all great as well. Everybody just seems to be happy. We couldn’t be happier with our experience here.

Been a member here since 2010. I moved back to Ventura and have just started playing again for the first time since 2021 and it has to be my favorite golf course on earth. This is the BEST course to dial in your wedges and become a UNIT at short game in golf. Definitely join here, the head pro Christian is awesome and the food is amazing. They also renovated the dining room and made it super open concept and a great spot to get food after a long day on the course.
