Description

This exclusive club is perched along the Pacific Ocean, offering one of the most scenic private golf experiences in San Diego. The nine-hole course may be short in length, but it makes up for it with tight fairways and ocean breezes that demand thoughtful club selection. Palm trees, coastal views, and pristine conditions create a serene, relaxed environment. Access is limited to members and hotel guests, adding to its allure as a hidden gem. The course is a true seaside escape, ideal for a quick round before enjoying the resort's beachside amenities.

Went here for a good friends wedding. The place was amazing. First class everything. The venue and staff were fantastic. The bar setting next to the beach was beautiful and equally as nice. Can't recommend this place enough to visit/stay for a few days or week if you can afford it.

If you have a few days to spend in LaJolla- this is the place for you! Beach front, excellent service, beautifully maintained - no reason to leave the compound! A truly relaxing getaway.

The La Jolla Beach and Tennis Club is a timeless gem. The private beach is beautiful, calm, and perfect for families, and the service is always top-notch. The staff go out of their way to make every visit feel special, whether you’re staying overnight or just enjoying the day. The grounds are immaculate, the restaurant is fantastic, and the views of the ocean are unbeatable. It’s classic La Jolla luxury with a relaxed, welcoming vibe.

I live in San Diego and come to La Jolla consistently for snorkeling, swimming and kayaking. This particular day the hotel staff ask my friends and I to move our stuff off their property which was just a foot away so we did. Went into the water, came back out and another staff member asked us to move. We informed them that we did per request of the last staff member and this man stated he was wrong and that we still had to move. We were well into the public state beach already and told him we would not be moving. This guy stated he was getting the police involved and told us we were not allowed to leave! Eventually he leaves and 20 minutes later ANOTHER guy comes and proceeds to harass us and does not leave our side for another 20 minutes. This guy proceeded to make sexist statements and inappropriate remarks. We decided to get back in the water for another 30 minutes to try enjoy the rest of our time. When we got back to our things the man was standing back at the hotel entrance just watching from a distance. We packed up and left. People know your rights. These people were in the wrong per the police never showing up because they had no merit to their claims.

Your employee, Daniel Fink, needs to be re-trained, the beach was stated as a public beach. The hotel has individuals policing the beach and requesting them to move their towels and equipment further into high tide. The first time we were cordial and agreed to do so from the first employee as we weren't staying at the hotel. From which point, Daniel, the second employee approaches my wife and mother and proceeds to tell us we need to move our towels and personal items further into the water. I let him know that we were informed the first time and don't understand why we have to move further into the water. He states that it's the hotel policy, and I mention that there must be some sort of miscommunication considering that we were already told once. Confused, Daniel Fink goes to ask his colleague what happened. The colleague and him meet up with us and Daniel tells us we can either move further down away from the hotel or more forward into the water. I let him know that clearly there's miscommunication on their part as we were told this before. The first employee remained quiet, and Daniel says, "Oh there's no miscommunication on my part". From which point I mention that this was stated as a public beach, and he mentions that the line from high tide is private property (keep in mind we had already moved out personal items and towel the first time). I mention to him that the beach is public and not private property, it's a creation of nature. Daniel Finch proceeds to tell me, "This is private property, do YOU OWN PRIVATE PROPERTY?" I mentioned to him I own several. Retrain your employees and do better La Jolla Beach & Tennis Club.
