My family had the privilege of staying at the Quail Lodge this summer. The grounds are beautiful, the staff are all welcoming and professional and the rooms are comfortable. We were fortunate to stay in the villa suite which consisted of two bedrooms, two full baths, one half bath, a separate living area and private patios. It was hands down the best suite we have stayed in when in Carmel. It was spacious, the beds were comfortable and the partial kitchen was a nice touch. Having access to a microwave, refrigerator and ice machine in our living area was quite nice. My boys enjoyed the nightly s'mores and the putting course. The bikes and pickleball courts are activities we hope to take advantage of during future visits. The dining options (Covey Grill, Edgar's Grill and room service) were all delcious which was an added bonus. We look forward to making the Quail lodge our home away from home when in Carmel.

I think the Quail is a hidden gem, for the same price the Quail is much better quality than other hotels in Carmel town. It's a Perfect place to unwind and relax. Rooms are spacious and well appointed. The breakfast next to the pond and water fountain is very relaxing, The grounds are super nice to walk around. Will go back

Check-in was welcoming and friendly. Personally, I've wanted to stay here for a couple of years, and on my birthday this year, we made it happen for a couple of days. I was (upgraded) as a birthday gift to the pavilion king with a box of Chocolate and wine, which was sweet. The bathtub was beautifully placed but definitely for a single person only it is not spacious. The bed was extremely uncomfortable. The first night was so bad that the morning after, we had such a stiff back we had to get KT tape, which helped the next couple of days. The room was mediocre; there really is nothing special about it. It’s sitting on a multi-million dollar property, so the green fairway and ponds are beautiful. The property upkeep is impeccable. Pickleball courts! You’ve got to drive to get to the courts but it’s nice to know they have them. Tennis too. Golf obviously 😊 We chose not to eat on site. The happy hour provides white and red wine, we met some nice people. There was a crowd of hotel guests (at least 60 and older) outside for the happy hour. The swimming pool is heated we tried that once. The spa Adeline we only tried for the steam room which was inadequate in the women’s locker room. Super unfortunate. The views on the outside and driving into the property are stunning. The staff walking around mind their business but aren’t full of cheer and welcoming. The property had a station you can use to clean your windshields but no solution available. Overall I’d give this place 4.5 stars. Cheers!

I love the quail. If I could live here I would. The rooms are nice, they have putting greens, amazing bar and restaurant. If you like to golf you will enjoy the views. Thank you always for an amazing time.

The casual restaurant at Quayle golf course called Edgar's is terrific.It has a great menu, not expensive, guitar player on Friday nights. Good Ambience, good service. Good value.
