An easy 4-star (out of 5), Diablo Hills is just an amazing course to play in !!! First of all, all the holes' condition are on point, even though not too much challenging design, but the layout and the landscape serve the same purpose. Like Hole 8 particularly, there's stones laying on the left side of the fairway, kind of the gardening type of thing, which shall enrich the playfulness of this hole.

Think you are heading out for a quick 9 holes? Think again. The pace of play is painfully slow—it took well over 3 to 4 hours to finish. I saw groups treating the course more like a driving range, with players hitting 4 to 7 tee shots each per hole. While the course itself is decent, it is just not worth spending an entire day for what should be a short round. Unfortunately, I will not be coming back.

This is a really nice 9 hole course. I'm a beginner so every hole is a challenge but I've played with my son and my mom who are really good golfers and they say it's not too easy. The staff are very nice and we have always been able to get a tee time, usually the day we want to play. The course is well maintained.

A nice well maintained 9 Holer. Its greatly improved the past few years but the pace of play can be grueling, especially on the weekends. There's no starter at the first tee so walks ons and Tee times have to figure out the order. Its not unusual to see a party of eight or more that destroy the pace. I've had friends who have played nine on a weekend and it took 41/2 hrs. Ridiculos. Its convenient, well priced and maintained and has a good restaurant. Fix the pace issues an it would be a much better course.

Great beginner course. Close to downtown Walnut Creek. I started playing a few years ago, and this is a great beginner course. The owners have spent some money updating cart paths, landscaping, etc. The course is pretty short (2400 yards) and can be walked in under two hours. BUT....because there are a lot of beginners on the course...it can really get backed up (2.5 hours +). Especially weekends.
