Great service from her and the customer service gentleman the T & T. Good course it took us about 2 1/2 to 3 hours. It was fun. There’s restrooms in route. The balls are a little pricey, but it is Valencia so what the heck. They also sell beer put it in a bag with a bunch of ice for you to take with you during your game. Really cool and chill place. Totally recommend it just don’t be in a rush lol

I visited this course with three friends (four players total) and our spectators. When we informed the front desk staff, the employee immediately rejected our request for four carts, citing insurance policies that allegedly prohibited it. After some back-and-forth, I reluctantly agreed to have two of us walk, as we had traveled from an hour and a half away and had planned this trip for two weeks. While we were paying, the employee made a point of saying, "By the way, if you hold up play, we will kick you out." Given our distance from home and other plans after the round, we didn’t argue. We were polite throughout, with me even suggesting that two of us walk (while ensuring our wives stayed in carts). The employee remained uncooperative, simply saying "no" at first. As we were heading out to get our carts, the employee continued to stress that with eight people, we couldn't hold up the pace. We clarified that we had paid for four players and four spectators, and didn’t understand the issue, as our spectators weren’t interfering with play. I’ve never experienced a course that would be so bothered by extra spectators when we were paying customers. Just before we left, the employee warned that we had to stay on the cart path, threatening to track us with GPS, adding another layer of frustration to the situation. At this point, our mood was soured, especially since this wasn’t our first time at the course and the front desk staff is usually friendly. Once we arrived at the starter, he lightened the mood with jokes and seemed genuinely happy to see us and our partners. This helped, and we began our round, ensuring we didn’t slow anyone down, as two of us were walking. We played at a reasonable pace until hole 9, where we had to wait for the group ahead. As one of my friends was setting up, a man walked right through the middle of the fairway on his phone. We waited for him to clear the area, and when he came back, we assumed he was a marshal. I jokingly said to my buddies, “Watch him say we’re taking too long, because the front desk guy is watching us.” Sure enough, as we continued, the man confronted our first cart and told us we were playing too slowly, threatening to kick us out unless we picked up the pace. He claimed they were doing us a favor by letting us play, given "how many of us" there were. We reminded him multiple times that we had only four players, and explained that we were walking, sometimes running, and even skipping shots to speed things up. He didn’t have much to say in response. We also pointed out that the carts showed we were four minutes ahead of the pace. Frustrated, we skipped hole 9 entirely and went straight to hole 10, where we had to wait again because the group in front of us was still teeing off. While I’ve had pleasant interactions with marshals in the past, including them offering us water on hot days, this experience was completely different. It seemed like everyone had an issue with our party of eight, even though we were simply paying customers. It’s baffling to me that a course would get upset about extra money and act so petty, especially when their own carts indicated we were ahead of pace. Given this experience, we’ll likely never return. It completely ruined our day.

Great local muni. Solid for beginners with the open fairways. Island par 3 also tons of fun.

Normally I like playing the Chica par 3 course. I've played it since I was a kid. However, the par 3 course has a problem with people camping on the green and using it as a practice chipping or putting green. Most of the time, the golfers that do this let you play through, but it's still a distraction for someone to be standing there watching you while you're trying to concentrate. There's not one specific example. It has happened more often in the past year. With all that said, I'll probably still play the course because it's a good one for beginners and other golfers who might be rusty or need to work on their short games.

Vista Valencia Golf Course has potential, but its outdated operating hours and poor customer service continue to frustrate golfers. Under new ownership, the course conditions and facilities have improved, which is a step in the right direction. However, closing the course early (sometimes with 45 minutes of daylight remaining) and having staff abruptly force paying customers to leave the range, putting green, and course is unacceptable. Adjusting hours to accommodate summer daylight for players to finish would create a more welcoming environment for the golfing community in the Santa Clarita Valley. Until the issue of operating hours is addressed by the General Manager, the experience at Vista falls short of expectations.
