Always an excellent time at Simi Hills. The prices are great, the course is beautiful and well maintained, and the customer service is on point in all areas. Even if you don’t golf, the patio at grill on the green is a great place to kick back, relax, and have a drink. Shout out to Tim at the golf shop, he’s always super accommodating!

This review is for the staff, shop, driving range and putting area. I have not tried the course yet but it looks fun! I went on a Thursday in the middle of the day. The girl who helped at the front desk was nice and they had a nice selection of clothing. There were also used clubs for sale. The driving range: It isn't that large and it filled up while I was there. I could see it being difficult or near impossible to get a spot during the weekend. They offer ice cold water at the range, which was a nice surprise. It was a very hot day when I went and there was no shade. It would be nice if they could budget for that. I don't think I will go back just to practice at the range because of the lack of shade. The putting area: It has shade but it was busy and I didn't get a chance to try it out. I didn't see a spot to practice chipping but maybe I just missed it. There's a hut near the range with someone fitting clubs. There was also a cafe that looked pretty busy, so it must be good but I haven't tried it yet (: Overall, seems like a nice place to play but maybe try a different spot to practice.

A top-tier muni course known for its meticulously maintained fairways and fast, undulating greens that offer a rewarding challenge. Green fee is very reasonable, and the pace of play is refreshingly smooth—no long waits, just pure golf enjoyment. Definitely playing again.

Simi Hills Golf course use to be one of the better municipal golf courses, however, in the last year or two they have neglected (no I believe, refused to invest) in the golf course maintenance. the fairways are patchy and hard with different grass types, some areas are dead grass or just bare. The bunkers are mostly gravel and stones or a mud pits when it rains or irrigation watering. The driving range balls have seen better days, no consistency, some are really rough, and the price is above most other golfing locations. Golf carts are expensive to rent and not that good. The greens are in relative good shape, however, the only time they are really good is just before their local tournaments. The course pro (when he's actually at the course) is rather direct and some might say wound a little tight. Overall the staff is friendly and are doing their best to accommodate the customers. I would suggest spending a few more $$ and go to somewhere else.

If I could give negative stars, I definitely would. We’ve played at this course countless times, but today we were treated extremely unfriendly by the staff—I even felt it was a kind of discrimination against women. We walked in, and the staff didn’t want to clear the carts outside, so they told us there were no carts available and that we’d have to walk. I said, “Then we won’t play.” When he saw I didn’t want to play, suddenly he said there was a cart. After we paid, while waiting for our tee time, he came over and told me, “You don’t have a bag—I could refuse to let you play. But since it’s after 5:00 now, I’ll let it go this time. Next time, I won’t let you play.” My clubs were in my husband’s bag because I have a back injury and can’t carry heavy things. I don’t understand why I spend money to come here only to be scolded—what kind of service is that? On top of that, this course keeps getting more expensive, while the conditions and service keep getting worse. After 5:00 it’s $48 per person, and they sometimes lie about there being no carts so you’ll have to walk. But outside, the carts are piled up.
