Stopped by the Valley of the Moon Club for lunch at the Oak Restaurant recently because my wife and I heard they had good sandwiches there. Upon arrival, we could hear golfers practicing at the driving range. The balls being struck and making a fizz as they exploded down range was exciting to observe. The Ted Robinson course is beautiful. Lunch did not disappoint. Our food was great and the people working there were very nice. They have a banquet facility and golf shop, all with large windows to take advantage of the beautiful views.

It's a nice fairly open park style course where fairways are situated between houses with plenty of room with a good amount of trees that can challenge shots. There are a few holes with water, but they don't seem to be too challenging. Looking forward to returning with friends.

Lovely local course. Straightforward layout. Main challenges are length and green side bunkers. Course is pretty flat and open. Greens are medium municipal speed. Not particularly challenging otherwise. Course is well maintained. Staff are friendly. Restaurant is decent. Great value. The Sugarloaf course is also fun and challenging despite being short. Great course to practice on.

The service provided by the staff at Valley of the Moon Club in Santa Rosa, CA for our 2nd annual Chuck Bridewell Memorial Golf Tournament exceeded our expectations. From the registration set up and breakfast areas to the lunch banquet all our requests were met. Staff were readily available and accommodating. The views are beautiful, and golfers were pleased with the course. Special thanks to Khiana Schumhl, James Perkins and Vanessa Jade who oversaw our event and ensured the day was memorable. My first time here and really wanted to love it. The good: 🌅 Fabulous view 😊 Super sweet servers The not-so-good: My friend and I both ordered risotto — I got the salmon, she got the veggie. When the food came, mine had no salmon at all. The server offered to fix it, but I said I’d just keep the veggie one. Then we noticed our dishes looked totally different — mine was full of mushrooms and no other veggies, hers was packed with greens and just a few mushrooms. Even the server was confused! They offered to redo them, but we didn’t have time. The risotto was just okay — mild flavor and missing that sharp, cheesy punch I usually expect. And that green purée on the side? I thought it was pesto, but it turned out to be plain puréed peas with zero seasoning. Honestly, it felt like something from a hospital tray. One bite was enough. Between the lovely view and kind staff, I really wanted this to be a hit… but the food just didn’t deliver. Probably won’t rush back, which is a shame because the setting is great.
