There is potential for this to be a nice course but it is just so beat up and narrow it makes it extraordinarily difficult. When we played the greens were so long you couldn’t tell where the fringe stopped and the green started. With all that said, it’s just average. It has 27 holes which makes it easier to get a tee time than the next place so it’s a good option in a crunch but outside of that I’d recommend you try another spot. Also, I understand they did a renovation recently, I’d be interested to know what was renovated as tee box and fairways were in bad shape

I can't emphasize this enough. Don't play here if they have Mountain course as one of your nines. This course is more torn up than the worst municipal course you will find anywhere in Southern California. They charge $80 during the week, and nine of the holes are a dog track. Tee boxes that are dirt, greens are half dirt, half shag carpet. Shameful. The Valley 9 was in decent shape, so I can't imagine who was stupid enough to not just have people loop that 9 twice and cut the tee times. All I saw was unhappy golfers everywhere. So stupid. Giving it 2 stars since 9 holes were in quasi-playable shape.

$120 for this. Mountain course had two greens 3,5 that were like putting on a fairway. Extremely disappointing, will not be back and do not recommend

I am a frequent player at Sand Canyon. Course is challenging and beautiful. Greens and fairways are well maintained. Driving range is covered which is great for our hot sunny days. I highly recommend this course.

I played Desert/Mountain on 10/05/25. We were originally scheduled to play Valley/Desert, but the staff told us to play Desert/Mountain instead. Since we weren’t familiar with the courses, we assumed they were all similar. Unfortunately, the Mountain course was in terrible condition — the greens were awful and clearly not being maintained. We didn’t see anyone playing on the Mountain course, either ahead of us or behind us, which made us feel like something wasn’t right. The staff should not have placed us on that course, especially when charging a $120 green fee. It honestly felt like a waste of money. To make things worse, I accidentally left my rangefinder (Bushnell Pro X3 Plus) on the golf cart. I called the same day and again the next day, but no one returned it. The staff working around the carts don’t seem very trustworthy — if you leave anything behind, don’t expect to get it back.
