Great place for walking and seeing the cliffs and ocean. Great views of Golden Gate Bridge. Golf course is a great choice for an exciting game of golf with great views.

Man ..... this is definitely the toughest 18 holes I've ever walked through ....... lots of up and downhill, and all with BIG SLOPE, you need to stablize yourself before making the next shot. Except Hole 17 is Lincoln Park's signature hole, as you get the good view of the Golden Gate Bridge, this course basically tour you around all the landmarks of San Francisco Area, Legion of Honor, SF downtown, particularly the Transamerica Pyramid, though by distance, but good enough to checkmark your list.

The views are the only reason this place gets a 2nd star. Everything other than the greens (tee boxes and fairways) is cut to rough length (about 1.5" deep) which is really punishing for an otherwise fantastic tee shot. Greens were cut lower than the rest of the grass, but still rather long for a green. Multiple greens also had significant damage near the hole, making it difficult to putt. Course was walking only because they didn't have carts available for some reason. Don't let the approximately 5,000 yard distance fool you. There are multiple long walks between holes (including from 2 to 3 and 5 to 6 almost 1,000 yards of walking just between those 2 holes). Add in the fact that 14 holes were uphill, and those 5,000 yards plays more than 7,000 with 2,000+ yards of walking between holes. This course shouldn't allow walking. If you don't have carts available, don't be open. This is a $50 with cart kind of course. Not $55 plus $20 for a pull cart. I absolutely do not recommend this course unless they get enough carts to use. Far too expensive for what you are getting.

WHATEVER YOU DO, DONT PLAY THIS COURSE!!! If I could give this course a -5, I would. The course itself is decent enough but nothing special. Unfortunately, the staff is nothing short of rude and unprofessional. From the minute, we checked in to the first tee and beyond, it felt as though we were on the defensive the entire time. We were told it was car paths only and made the honest mistake of driving on the first fairway. We were immediately scolded and told that they should take our cart immediately although they didn't after I profusely apologized. The group behind us were actually part of our larger group and also made a similar mistake and their car was confiscated. The marshals waited until they left their cart and they took the keys from the cart without telling the group. Unbelievable! by the way, there was no good reason for it to be cart path only. The fairways are in average to poor condition at best. If you want to play a passable golf course, feel guilty for playing it and be insulted, please be my guest! Five hours of my life I'll never get back.

This course is one with the most beautiful views of San Francisco in many directions. Sure, it isn’t the best maintained course. Sometimes it has been dreadful. It’s a public course. But, for the price you pay? It’s beyond worth it. They had replaced their carts in the last year (2022). It’s challenging and it’s fun. It doesn’t take more than 3 1/2-4 hours to play a whole round (usually) and the Bloody Mary’s are delicious. NOTE: Do NOT leave items within view inside your parked car. Smash and grabs aren’t rare in this parking lot.
