Description

The first great American public oceanside course, Pebble benefits from an ingenious routing that brings the player to the ocean’s edge, then onto much higher ground, before returning to the cliffs for the climactic final two holes. Even today, with gobs of world class courses having been built in the past 100 years, no more thrilling, spectacular stretch exists than holes 4 through 10. Additionally, does any walk compare with that final stroll up the iconic par-5 18th as it curves left around Carmel Bay?! Hard for a course this well known to exceed first-time expectations — but it does. (Photo: Evan Schiller)

Beautiful doesn't even begin to describe this golf course. Probably, perfection would do it more justice. The views are amazing. The weather was perfect with a touch of the ocean breeze. I love coming back to this place!

Pebble Beach was hands down the most amazing golf course I've ever played. Don't need a descriptive review. Just look at the photos. The course and property are amazing. We also had a great caddie. Highly recommend the services of a caddie during a round. Only issue I had was that during a post round shoe cleaning and wipe down of my brand new white FootJoys, the towel or cleaner that the gentleman used left a faint bluish/green hue. Not the end of the world, but not exactly ideal.

A Majestic Journey Along the Pacific: Driving the 17-Mile Drive through Pebble Beach is nothing short of breathtaking. This iconic route offers unparalleled views of the Pacific coastline, winding through the Del Monte Forest and past some of the world's most renowned golf courses. Each turn reveals a new vista, from the rugged cliffs to the serene beaches, making every moment memorable. Highlights Along the Drive: The Lone Cypress: Standing resilient on a rocky outcrop for over 250 years, this tree is one of the most photographed in the world. It's a testament to nature's endurance and a must-see landmark. Bird Rock: A lively spot teeming with sea lions and a variety of seabirds. The sounds and sights here are a delightful experience for nature enthusiasts. Spanish Bay: A tranquil area perfect for a stroll or a picnic. The boardwalk offers stunning views, and the evening bagpiper adds a touch of tradition and charm. Pebble Beach Golf Links: Renowned as one of the most beautiful golf courses globally, it has hosted multiple U.S. Opens. Even if you're not a golfer, the views from the course are spectacular and worth the visit. Visitor Tips: Entrance Fee: There's a fee of $11.75 per vehicle to access the 17-Mile Drive. However, this fee is reimbursed if you spend $35 or more at participating Pebble Beach Resorts restaurants. Best Times to Visit: Early mornings or late afternoons offer the most serene experiences with fewer crowds and the best lighting for photography. What to Bring: Comfortable walking shoes, a camera, and a sense of wonder. Whether you're a local resident or a visitor, the 17-Mile Drive through Pebble Beach is a journey that captivates the heart and soul. It's a place where nature's beauty and human craftsmanship come together in perfect harmony.

A very good location to visit. You can choose just to visit and enjoy nature, view, cold weather and restaurant as the accommodation is so expensive. A recommended place to drop even for short visit for those who drive through from Los Angeles to San Francisco.

I don't even understand how this golf course doesn't have a perfect rating. This place is a bucket list golf course. It's probably the most beautiful place I have ever hot a golf ball. No, it is not cheap. But a true must play. The staff is really nice. You can play it with a caddie, which is the way to go. Walk the course like the pros and the way it was meant to play. The first tee, the caddie, pulled the driver out of my hand and gave me the club I could hit 220. I did and hit two great shots and birdie the first hole. My day was made. Good thing as. I managed to find a truck load of bunkers. Hole 8 I was standing on the edge of the cliff in the ruff, hitting my second shot. I'm happy I didn't go sliding or tumbling down the cliff. If I could pick any course to go play again or for the first time, it would be here with my brother. We did stay at the hotel for one night. It was really nice.
