Disappointing experience for the price. The greens were bumpy and far too soft, making putting frustrating and unpredictable. Fairways looked tired and patchy — not what you’d expect from a premier course. Worst of all, there were actual rocks in the sand traps. For $400 a round, this is simply unacceptable. The only reason this gets two stars instead of one is because the views are undeniably beautiful. But don’t let the scenery fool you — the course conditions don’t come close to justifying the cost. Avoid Ocean South until they get serious about maintenance.

What an experience! Vacationed out in Newport Beach and played at Pelican Hill. Had such a great time. The scenery was amazing. Pace of play was perfect. I would definitely come back.

I absolutely love Pelican Hill, it’s one of the most relaxing and beautiful places in Orange County. The views are stunning, the atmosphere is peaceful, and everything feels so luxurious and well taken care of. Whether it’s for a walk, a drink, or just to unwind, this place is pure perfection. Highly recommend!

This course is always memorable for its fresh breeze. The ocean wind here feels different from that at another ocean course, Trump National LA—it has its own character and always greets you with a refreshing touch. The course is in great condition and, while it’s often busy, the food is excellent and the staff are always friendly.

So beautiful! We played a round here and really enjoyed the scenery layout of the course - most of the holes have ocean views at the North Course, along with beautiful mansions on the hillside. Course conditions are perfect. Very hilly and the greens are fast!
