This place is really great, cool layout that uses the land well. Not very long so it’s fair for all golfers. Some tricky shots that utilize the unique landscape. Greens are slow, but I found that good putts were still rewarded. Can’t beat the price. Love all the targets on the driving range.

NCGC: Affordable Fun with a Side of Coyotes. Budget-conscious golfers, rejoice! National City Golf Course might be a nine-holer, but it packs a punch when it comes to value, cheapest course I've played on, making it a perfect spot for beginners or anyone looking for an easygoing round without breaking the bank. Don't let the lack of 18 holes fool you. This course offers a variety of challenges, from tight fairways to tricky greens. It's a great way to work on your short game and iron play. Coyotes? Maybe! Keep your eyes peeled, as the occasional coyote might be spotted roaming the course. While they're more interested in rodents than golfers, it adds a touch of the wild to your round. Family-friendly atmosphere: National City Golf Course is a relaxed and welcoming place for golfers of all ages and skill levels. It's not formal, so feel free to wear whatever's comfortable and have a blast. Most rounds can be completed in less than two hours, making it a great option for a quick afternoon outing or a pre-dinner warm-up. Overall, National City Golf Course is a hidden gem for budget-minded golfers. It's not the fanciest course, but it offers a fun and challenging round in a relaxed setting. Just keep an eye out for those coyotes! I can take a star off for the bridge being out. No big deal, you'll see the picture attached to my review.

Not a bad course but not a great one either, different types of holes from par 3 to 5 but main entrance to hole one is still under construction so you have to drive elround the course to get to it. Driving range is cool but mainly dirt but has drums as targets so it makes noise once hit (pretty cool). Pretty affordable course. Gold carts are all pretty rough but #40 was what I used (1st come first serve) and that one was pretty decent just seat torn and chunk missing. Over all course not bad good to walk also because you still have to wait for your previous group to play :)

Price is fair, witnessed twice people jumping fences to play for free, also dudes on the way back will randomly jump in in front of you to play more golf. Last but not least greens are beat up, and people steel balls here like crazy. I wanted to talk to management but I got done late due to dudes jumping in front of me, people from office were gone.

Urgent Complaint Regarding Racial Discrimination and Assault at National City Golf Course. Dear National City Golf Course Team, I am writing to formally report a deeply distressing and unacceptable incident that occurred at your golf facility approximately three months ago. Despite multiple attempts to bring this to your attention via your website and email, I have yet to receive any response. The seriousness of this matter compels me to write again, as I believe what occurred is both unlawful and morally reprehensible. I am a holder of the California VIP Elite Card, which includes a daily range ball benefit at your facility. During one of my visits, I encountered two employees—"Gabriel" and "Richard"—at the front desk. I would like to report the following events: Upon presenting my Elite Card, Gabriel refused to honor the service, stating that the card was not valid. I politely asked why, and offered to show the service details from the official website. Gabriel abruptly responded with, “I don’t want to see it. Either pay for the balls or leave.” I calmly showed the website and card anyway, to which Gabriel appeared startled. At that point, Richard interjected with offensive language and said, "People like you are always like this." I addressed Gabriel, expressing that such a comment was unacceptable and asked him to intervene. He replied, "He’s just doing his job," which I found confusing and dismissive. Eventually, Gabriel said he would give me the range balls "just this once" and told me to hurry up and leave. I explained that I was simply trying to use a service I had paid for and asked for a more respectful attitude. I also stated that Richard owed me an apology, to which Richard responded with more vulgar language. Gabriel asked him to leave temporarily, then turned to me and said, “Just take your balls and go.” When I asked again if there would be any apology, Gabriel said, “Isn’t your time more valuable? Just get it over with and leave.” At this point, I told them I no longer wished to use the range balls under such hostile circumstances and said I would leave. As I walked away, Richard returned and shouted more profanities. When my wife asked him to stop, he said, “This is a free country. I’ll do what I want. Go back to China.” I am not Chinese, and this racially targeted comment was loud enough for other guests to hear. Several guests expressed sympathy and support afterward, telling us “no one here likes them,” and “they’re not right in the head.” Most shockingly, as we were exiting, Richard followed us and physically pushed my wife, causing her to fall. We immediately contacted the police and filed a report. Multiple guests witnessed the incident and assisted us. Despite having reported this incident through your website and by email—twice—I have received no acknowledgment or response. I find it deeply troubling that such racism and physical aggression can occur in California in the year 2025 and go unaddressed. This is not just a customer service failure. It is an issue of racial discrimination, verbal abuse, and physical assault, all taking place at your facility and involving your employees. I have evidence and witnesses willing to provide statements. I am currently considering pursuing legal action, as this matter is serious and cannot be dismissed. I believe it is your responsibility to investigate this incident promptly, address the involved individuals’ behavior, and provide a formal apology and resolution. If you wish to verify the events through your security camera footage, please let me know. I can provide the exact date and time of the incident. Do you have the recorded video file on hand right? I hope to hear from you soon. Out of respect, I have given you ample time to respond and have refrained from following up repeatedly. Please confirm receipt of this message.
