Absolutely disrespectful conduct from La Jolla Country Club members I was trying to find a friend’s house that borders the golf course and mistakenly thought there was a path or exit. I got lost and, instead of being offered any assistance, I was confronted by two older men who immediately addressed me with, “Hey little lady, what are you doing here?” I explained that I was lost and simply trying to reach my destination. Rather than showing any courtesy, they dismissed me, told me I was on private property, and then escalated the situation by reporting me. Shortly after, a staff member in a golf cart approached and confirmed that those same men had called me in as “a lady wandering around the golf course.” This behavior was unnecessary, condescending, and embarrassing. I was never a threat. I was lost and needed help. Being spoken to this way and treated as a problem is absolutely unacceptable. If this is how members and staff behave, it reflects very poorly on the entire club’s reputation for prestige and hospitality.

Private club not open to the public but if you get a chance to visit it is very nice. The food is always excellent

The country club has an outstanding venue for events and wedding gatherings. Spectacular, picturesque rooms and golf to add memorable experiences. I personally worked with management and staff and found them to be detailed, professional and efficient. The address is somewhat hidden. But, the grand drive is located right at the top left end of High Street.

I was a weekend caddy there in '68 while in Navy training schools. I loved the place. Really nice people. A place where sailors could walk on the grass.
