Beautiful course and the greens were moving fast. You can tell they put money into this course, it’s pretty hard since the fairways are pretty narrow, but overall a really nice course. I’ll definitely be coming back. Staff is very friendly as well. Breakfast burrito is alright could probably use an upgrade though.

Played course on 8 November 2024. The staff is amazing. The pro shop, stater, cart guy "master gunz", and the lady in the snack area have great hospitality and made our golf group feel more than welcome. The course has great amenities to work in your game. A full size range with a putting and chipping green. As for the course itself, I loved the layout. It makes you think and work on shit shapes. The conditions are good as well. Nicely cut tee boxes, green fairways, well maintained bunkers and greens pretty good. Some greens are patchy and need some more attention but overall the greens rolled true. Definitely glad I played here and I plan to return. Highly recommend to all.

I can't say enough how more than satisfied I am with my stay. The room is a bit confusing to get to, and I had a fight with the coffee maker this morning. But minor details can be overlooked. The service that I have received this far is top tier. If something is wrong they call my room to make sure it was resolved. I thank the people who have helped me. Management and the new owners for buying the property. I can't wait to see how this place blossoms. I booked next week again for my work stay. I am beyond pleased with everything. Thank you all so much.

I can’t say enough good things about Mackey at Palo Mesa Golf Resort. From the moment I reached out with my situation—needing an early check-in after checking out of another hotel—he handled it with incredible empathy and efficiency. Within an hour, he got back to me with a perfect solution, making sure there was no gap in my plans. What really stood out was how genuinely caring and responsive he was. It’s rare to come across someone in hospitality who not only listens but truly understands. Mackey turned a stressful situation into a seamless experience, and for that, I’m deeply grateful. Thanks to him, I had a smooth, relaxing start to my stay. Mackey is the kind of person who makes you want to come back—not just to the resort, but for the people who make it special.

Bad experience with Thanksgiving buffet at the Pala Golf Resort on November 28, 2024 Alicia, Food and Beverage Manager at the Aquaterra restaurant has the very unprofessional attitude. She seated us at the bar area instead of nice dining area - see pictures below for the different ambience in seating. We come to the restaurant willing to pay $75 per person for the elegant dining experience but had bartender waiting on us. At first we didn’t notice but when realised that we didn’t get seated properly - I mentioned this to Alicia and she just laughed in my face. Not sure what happened to Aquaterra restaurant. Never we will go there again.
