Pro shop staff ( the window area where we check-in) is extremely rude. Not happy then get a different job. Extremely slow pace

The Mesa Linda course is always fun. The layout is challenging, but fair. The greens were recently punched, so putting was a challenge. Know going in that the course does not bring you back to the clubhouse, so get your food first. Also, the first restroom is at the 8th hole, so hydrate wisely. They do a good job of calling out groups to keep the starts organized. I highly recommend playing Costa Mesa Country Club (Mesa Linda course(.

Great course really well maintained. Unfortunately has a horrible pace of play. With multiple groups of 5 can take 6 hours half the time you’re just waiting for 1-3 groups to tee off. Management should be more mindful of this. Also when I book late tee times I think a lot of people sneak in as I’ll book and shows everything empty but yet the course is full. I’m sure people just sneak in and start playing so the course is also losing money this way.

Staff needs to be held accountable for their attitude this past week. I played golf with my sister and her fiancee - it was my sisters first time. We payed almost $200 and were set to tee off around 20 minutes later than actually scheduled. After not golfing for over a month due to an injury I get to the tee box and hit a bad shot about 100 yards. As I'm walking off the tee box the marshall rudely tells me that I need to be hitting off the silver tees (women's tees, he knew exactly what he was insinuating) with my swing and for me to pick up and go. As I get to my ball the group two groups behind me is screaming at me at the top of the lungs for me to hit the ball, as if there wasn't a group in front of me that I could hit. The Marshalls rude comment and demeanor made the group feel so confident to trash talk me and I do believe none of this would have happened if the marshall acted the way he was supposed to. My sister only hit the ball a handful of times because of how unwelcome she felt by the marshall and was in disbelief that that is how the own course treats its players. As if it isn't a public course. Do not play this course if you are trying to enjoy time with family.
