Description

Tucked into the scenic Mohawk Valley near Graeagle, Whitehawk Ranch is a secluded, forest-lined mountain course designed by Dick Bailey. The course plays through towering pines and open meadows with stunning Sierra vistas on nearly every hole. It’s a true shot-maker’s layout, with elevation changes, natural creeks, and beautifully framed greens. The course is known for its peaceful setting and pure conditions — a favorite summer destination for NorCal golfers looking to beat the valley heat.

Beautiful, well maintained course. Not overly challenging or difficult. The staff are super friendly and it's in a serene and relaxed location!

Played on Monday 10/7/24 and Wednesday 10/9/24, loved it. It’s a beautiful and fair golf course. The course in great condition. On 10/9, the greens were rolled so they were super fast and true. Tee boxes and fairways were perfect as well. I would give it 6 stars if I could Caution: the snack bar is ridiculously expensive ($6 for a bottle of Gatorade and $3.50 for a bottle of water). For a minute I thought I was at the Ritz Carlton resort to have to pay at that price.

Lovely staff from our short experience at Whitehawk - unfortunately around the end of June the grasshoppers come in biblical plagues in the late afternoon. If you want to play golf, definitely go in the early morning before the swarms come. Twilight hour pricing is not worth it unless you want to walk and play amongst the millions grasshoppers all over the fairways and greens.

This is a really fun course. Fairways and especially greens in great shape. Crickets around the clubhouse holes are kinda gross but whatever. Very nice practice facilities. Playing in timber can be very challenging but these fairways are wider than other courses of similar design.
